This is the remastered version of my very very old Lightningbug Night song. It is now more reggae sounding.  Imagine you are on a beach catching lightningbugs in a jar, with the intent to let them go afterwards.

The final chapter of Captain Vano's life ended in poignant darkness, far from the honors he truly deserved. His burial took place in secret, within a small mausoleum hidden in an abandoned mine on a dusty planet, a place forgotten by the rest of the universe. Those who had loved him, those who had shared his trials, were there. Professor Arkinor, the scientist who had traversed the black hole alongside him, cast a heavy gaze of sorrow upon the humble grave. Graigue, the former pirate warlord whom Vano had rescued from the clutches of chaos, stood tall, as if still wearing an invisible armor in honor of his fallen friend.

Not far away, the former leader of human power, a man who had once embodied humanity’s supreme authority before rebelling against it, remained silent, torn between respect and guilt. The Different Brothers, those extraterrestrial musicians who had accompanied so many moments of his life with their timeless melodies, were also present. That day, they played a blues of infinite sorrow, a piece of music that seemed to stretch time itself, as if suspending the very moment of mourning. Torni, the renowned humanist theorist, had made the journey, simply dressed, but his gaze bore the full weight of a man deeply aware of Captain Vano’s greatness and the irreparable loss he represented.

A handful of others were there as well, men and women who had become outcasts, bound together by their loyalty to the man who, until the very end, had defended ideals they still shared. They were few, but their presence spoke volumes about the greatness of a man whom humanity, in its ingratitude, had chosen to reject.

No monumental stone, no official speech marked this farewell. Just a simple stone, engraved with modest yet powerful words: "Forgotten hero, eternal defender of worlds."

And as the final notes of the Different Brothers’ blues faded into the wind, a strange silence fell over the mausoleum. That silence seemed to hold all the pain and gratitude of those gathered, as if they bore together the weight of Vano’s sacrifice.

Thus, the final echo of the man who had given so much faded away, buried in shadow but living on in their hearts and in the legends that would continue to travel across the stars.
