Madrid, Malmø, Motor City – the places that influenced the sound behind the pure Electro EP, „M- Technology“. The fifth SNC Recs release fuses elements from very different cities from all around the world.

The musician Dip Shim aka. Diego Ocejo unites on „M-Technology“ the Sounds of Detroit, his roots in Spain and the current scene of Sweden. Dip Shim has many talents; in his formative years he was active in the Graffiti scene and working as a graphic designer. Turning his lifestyle into an education, he moved to Malmø, getting lost within the city’s artistic bubble. It was within this creative environment, that Dip Shim found a place to start a new project. Since 2020 he runs the record store called „Bolero Record-Store“ and started his own label „Malmø Traxx“. One thing is for sure – he knows what he’s doing. Dip Shims first release on his own imprint was a top seller on Juno and sold out after only two weeks.

„M-Technology“ is for sure the perfect soundtrack for your favorite Graffiti Film or a rave night that will hopefully take place soonish. With his full analogue producing style, using legendary equipment like the MPC2000 and selection of classic Roland drum machines, Diego created an outstanding 4 track, full Electro EP which will heat up some Dancefloors in the near future.

Just short of nine minutes this progressive journey invokes a melancholic  introspective feeling. Distorted grooves laced with white noise and grit, with lush analog synths floating around, subtle acid lines, crunching bass tones, on a wide and warm sonic spectrum that some might coin as an introverted dance track. 
This debut single of K.R Woon showcasing a range of dynamics and progression is only just a glimpse of the sound being created by him.

Within just one year, the Leipzig-based label Self Learning System has established itself as a serious and cheeky contender in the electro scene, and the third release aims to live up to this claim once again. DJ Unisex surprises with Chromatic Stimulations, as his four otherworldly tracks unfold a no-frills attitude on par with a trippy sound design between a revealing in and outro. This EP is not afraid to present raw and unsettling machine noises and rather revels in the bubble bath of reverberating and resonating synths from late night hardware sessions. 

- Desire [ 136 bpm ] Don't be misled by the early onset synth pads, DESIRE is a disturbingly catchy bass monster of an electro track. 

- Observer T - 8EM [ 132 bpm ] A perfect example of how a minimal club electro track doesn't have to be complex to make your body bang to it. 

- Electro Techno Freaks! [ 136 bpm ] DJ Unisex screws a smacking bass into your auditory nervous system again and uses only selected inorganic ingredients. 

- Instrumental C.03 [ 141 bpm ] You came for the machine funk but you'll stay for the blinding trip. Secret tip.

After a two year odyssey, they return back to mother earth with an insane Live Set (Backslash Festival 2022) and a Battery Point EP full of blasting fusion energy. Their musical capsule comes packed with new textures, mixed up with an unholy but tasty reduction of Jungle and Trance substances melting with a fusion of Bass Music and industrial space chugs.
This cosmologic sound match is leading to a new co-dependency between gravity and bass.
