My dear friends

I am happy to share my live recordings of one of the most magical night of my career so far.
I was invited to play in Oaxaca, Mexico together with Acid Pauli during 'Day of the dead' on 31st of oct 2015.
We played in some kind of old spanish church in the middle of the night. Because it was ‘the day of the death’ everybody was dressed like skelletons. They painted me as my dog Rivaldo, that passed away 3 months ago.
You can imagine playing in Mexico in a temple, on the day of the dead, with Acid Pauli, in front of Skelletons, while I was painted like my Rivaldo (and Martin had some kind of Jezus outfit) was pretty magical.

So I am excited to share with you the live recordings of this night.
I want to thank Mariana, ALKEMY and gem&bolt party w/ guest mezcal Amores and Meteoro to set up this night.
And all the people who came to show: you really made that temple come alive again!!

This set is very close to our hearts. It was the first time Ali joined our family. We gave him an early morning opening set of the mainstage. This time is challenge for any musician. You need to find the delicate balance between slowly waking up the crowd as well as getting them in the mood for yet another beautiful day ahead. 

He killed it.
We recall that we woke up from this incredible selection of tracks not immediately know who was performing at the time. He will be back. Not on an opening hour but somewhere somewhen we can shine a light on this incredible star.

The rāga saga is a seriesthat acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) is by the very very tasteful and hugely popular Lars Middlehoe aka @disfunctional_disco

Hailing from Copenhagen Denmark, Disfunctional Disco has been a key player in the Copenhagen house scene for many years now, both as a DJ, playing all venues in Copenhagen, and all over the world, alongside many of the top names in the scene, but also as one half of Kulturshot, who has brought many legendary parties to Copenhagen, Geneva and Paris.

Teaming up with long time friend Be Svendsen, working alongside his team, he has a stronger bond than ever to the music scene.

His music and his DJ sets are journeys into the deep, trippy and sexy side of housemusic, always with the party and the crowd in mind, you are sure to have a blast on the dancefloor!!

Carlos Aguirre from Quito, Ecuador located in the middle of the world , V-CIOUS project was formed in 2012 . with its roots in house and minimal bring new sounds with a meaning and innovative to people with good taste, has accomplished much in a short time and shared with Sasha (Lat Night On Earth), Robert Babicz(Kompakt), Butane (My Little Helpers) Robert James (Hot Creations), Audiofly (Supernature), Sandeman (Crosstown Rebels ), James Teej (Last Night On Earth), Robbie Akbal (Akbal Records), Supernova (Lapsus Music) among others. At the end of 2014 Carlos Aguirre creates his own record label to give opportunity to national and international artists called Sleepless Records, this has already been positioned as one of the best and most promising brands among Ecuadorian labels. 

His works have been supported by great artists such as Richie Hawtin, Magit Cacoon, DJ Tennis , Laurent Garnier, Marco Carola, Dj Diass, Marco Resmann, Jean Claude Ades and more. In August (2015) V-Cious was the winner of the first remix contest by Upon You Records at Beatport Play , with his interpretation of the original track of Magit Cacoon - Freedom Is Timeless. chosen from more than 250 remixes. 

Having the honor of being part of one of the most recognized labels Upon You Records from Germany . Now focused on production, he has collaborated with artists such as Mikalogic (Suara-Noir Music), Dj Diass (303 Lovers-Incorrect) and THe WHite SHadow (FR) (Katermuke-Einmusika) .2017 release his first Vinyl release for Record label Resopal Schallware and constantly works with big labels as Parquet Recordings, Manual Music and Movement.

About Larry Oz:

This music can be a powerful medicine and in this mix my intention was to share a voyage into that space - between. Enjoy the ride!

A bit about me…. My initiation and journey into house music began in the early 90’s when the culture and sound was just starting to bloom.

My lifelong obsession with many varieties of music as well as plant medicines was the catalyst to putting me on the path of discovering this passion that burns strongly to this day.

From classic rock and jazz to grunge and alternative rock, many avenues were explored, and it all paved the way to me stepping into a rave on a military base hangar in Boston and having my mind blown by the beautiful experience of love and community.

And so the love affair began… 

Getting deep into the rave culture first in Boston then returning to my roots of NY/NJ I enjoyed watching the sound and culture evolve from outlaw raves to clubs… Twilo… Vinyl… Limelight… Tunnel... Sound Factory…  Techno… House… Disco… Tribal… Trance… Progressive... Hours and miles were clocked on dance floors, thoroughly inspired by the depth and power this music cultivated. There is only gratitude for these gifted experiences of oneness.

In 1996 I felt called to explore the game of DJing.

From early frustrations of learning to mix (these were the days of vinyl) and some awkward gigs, I learned the ropes. 

This was a passion and hobby, DJing for me was and still is pure expression and meditation… FLOW.

When there is a connection between artist and audience there is a palpable magic, these moments I live for whether it be on dance floor or DJ booth. 

Digging through crates of records to find gems is a sport that I thoroughly enjoy to this day, although now the crates have been replaced by digital libraries. My musical collection has always spanned many genres, if it moves my soul I grab it… These days the sound that inspires me is more soothing to the nervous system.

After sharing a mix with legend and god-father of house music, Danny Tenaglia, I was delighted (understatement) to be invited to play with him at his legendary, award winning “Be Yourself” party at the one and only Vinyl nightclub in NYC. You go to this party to leave all the bullshit at the door and surrender your soul on the dance floor. No alcohol, no table service, just proper vibes.

Playing at Vinyl along side Danny was a dream and a true honor. I played there again and actually filled in for him.  

This of course opened some doors and I enjoyed success playing in various places in NY, NJ and around the world. 

As with the ebb and flow of life I moved into other things but this music has been a constant companion and a source of power.

Lately, I’ve been inspired by the blending of folk music of other cultures, the ancestral/mystical sounds, along with lower BPMs and delicious bass lines have had a powerful impact on me. 

As this music evolves I move with it, and as I’m inspired, I hope to inspire.
