The Zapotec was an indigenous pre-Columbian civilization that flourished in the Valley of Oaxaca, southern Mesoamerica. Their culture goes back to at least 2500 years. They left archaeological evidence in the ancient city of Monte Albán in the form of buildings, ball courts, magnificent tombs and grave goods; including finely worked gold jewelry. Monte Albán was one of the first major cities in Mesoamerica and the center of a Zapotec state that dominated much of what is now the mexican state of Oaxaca.

Like most Mesoamerican religious systems, the Zapotec religion was polytheistic. Two principal deities include Cocijo, the rain god (similar to the Aztec god Tlaloc), and Coquihani, the god of light.

The Zapotecs had a predominance of deities associated with fertility and agriculture and there are both male and female representations, told apart from each other by costumes.

Saif Halasa stammt aus Jordanien und wohnt in Brisbane, Australien. Seit 2007 steht er hinter den Plattentellern. Der in Amman geboren, bedient sich aus verschiedenen Musik Genres. Anfangs waren es die tiefen House Bässe welche ihn begeisterten, nun hat er die rhythmische Südamerikanische Musik für sich entdeckt. Diese spielt er mit einer herrlichen Leichtigkeit.
Momentan steht er kurz vor der Veröffentlichung seiner ersten eigen Produzierten Tracks, welche wir mit Spannung erwarten. Auf diesem Wege wollen wir uns bei dir, Saif, für eine wirklich tolle Zusammenarbeit bedanken und wünschen dir weiterhin viel Erfolg mit deiner Musik.


Saif Halasa is from Jordan an now lives in Brisbane, Australia. Since 2007 it`s his passion to stand behind the turntables. Saif who was born in Amman, loves and plays different music genres. 
In the beginning it was the deep house basses which inspired him. Meanwhile he discovered rhythmical South American music and plays this with marvellous ease. 
At the moment he stands shortly before the publication of his first own produced tracks which we expect with tension. On this way we want to thank him for a really great corporation and wish Saif all the best and success with his music.
