There is a very limited number of people on earth, who actually had an  effect on the development of contemporary varieties of art. When we closer our look to a certain sub-genre of electronic club music,
we will soon realise the huge impact of some key figures, who layed the groundwork and paved the way for many others to contribute.
Mira (@mira_kater) is one of them. By cultivating her own style, she cultivated a whole movement at the same time. We are very honoured to present to you her newest work of art..

Alex Ranerro - Solutions 001 [Podcast]

Berkay (@berkayozdin) is mainly known as the yogi of Deepist (@deepist), he's living in Istanbul, an ambitious music digger, actively working on spreading music as a pure communication tool. We can also mention he as one of the creators of COUP projekt, focused on podcast and track curation and premieres. Plus, Berkay contributes actively to KLAN community to support underground bands, live acts and DJ's.

Tecuanes Dance

Tecuani (and its variants tekuani, tekuane, tecuane) means "jaguar" in Nahuatl. In the south-center of Mexico the "danza de los tecuanes" is performed in at least 96 communities. In this region jaguar dances are very popular. There are many variants of jaguar dances. Some of the most popular are the "tecuanes dances", "tlacololeros dances" and "tlaminques dances".

The jaguar is also important for shamans who often associate the jaguar as a spirit companion or nagual, which will protect the shamans from evil spirits while they move between the earth and the spirit realm.

It was Amsterdam Dance Event last year. 

Our friend, Steve Rickinson, from Deep House Amsterdam called to say there was a show that night that we had to check out.. It was time for the Bespoke Musik showcase and a part from Rampue, Holger Hecler and Satori, he said that we had to check out two brothers known as Wild Dark. The line up of the whole night was of course impeccable, new music is always on our minds and the Bespoke family are humans that we love, so with little persuasion we decided to head out there... Little did we know a new friendship would start that night.

Almost one year, many chats and a great dinner in Amsterdam later we post their first mix for The Gardens of Babylon. And it's AWESOME. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH. The selection of tracks, the build up, well basically from beginning to end they take us on a Wild Dark tour.

Special thanks to these wonderful creatures for entering our lives. Your whole family and vibe brings so much joy. We can't wait to further expand our collaboration.

Für unsere #115 haben wir uns mit CASIO einen der wichtigsten und zugleich aktivsten Akteure der Dresdner Technoszene eingeladen.

Seit 2011 nun widmet sich der Wahldresdner mit voller Hingabe der Thematik des Auflegens und konnte in dieser Zeit schon unglaublich viel bewegen und Erfahrungen sammeln, das sowohl vor als auch hinter dem Pult. 

Als Mitbegründer des Kollektivs Pangaea, welches seit 2012 in der Dresdner Szene für ihre aufwendigen Dekorationen und qualitativ hochwertigen Bookings bekannt und geschätzt wird, erhielt er erste Einblicke in die Organisation von Club- u. Openairveranstaltungen. In dieser Zeit arbeitete er mit den verschiedensten Crews und Clubs zusammen, was ihn nach und nach zu einem wichtigen und gefragten Player der heimischen Technoszene machte. In 2015 gründet er schließlich sein eigenes Projekt ‘Motion’ das mit seinen eigenen Veranstaltungen an ausgewählten Locations bereits so namhafte Acts wie FJAAK, Daniel Bortz, Leon Licht, Elliver, Pauli Pocket, Fiedel und Ida Daugaard in die sächsische Elbmetropole holen konnte. Des Weiteren versteht sich ‘Motion’ auch als DJ-Kollektiv, das mittlerweile 5 Akteuren aus den verschiedenen elektronischen Genre ein musikalisches zu Hause bietet. Seit Oktober 2015 gestaltet er zudem aktiv das Geschehen des Dresdner TBA Clubs, wo er nicht nur als Resident sondern auch als Booker in Erscheinung tritt.

In den 6 Jahren hinter den Decks hat er gefühlt schon in jedem Dresdner Club seine Finger am Mixer gehabt. Hinzu kommen etliche Gigs in Clubs und Festivals im In- u. Ausland. Von der Station Endlos in Halle, über dem SO&SO und Elipamanoke in Leipzig, dem Mensch Meier, Birgit & Bier und Kosmonaut in Berlin, bis hin zum Most Open Air in Kiew oder dem Natürlich Irre Festival wird er für seinen treibenden und abwechslungsreichen Sound geschätzt. Dabei hat er eines immer ganz fest im Blick - die tanzende Crowd - die es gilt bei jedem seiner Gigs zu verzaubern.


Mit seinem Podcast beweist er einmal mehr die unendlichen Weiten seines musikalischen Spektrums und nicht zuletzt deshalb freuen wir uns wirklich außerordentlich mit CASIO einen Tausendsassa der elektronischen Musik in unserer Reihe begrüßen zu dürfen.

Back in 2009 when UNER made his debut on Diynamic Records, the 'Raw Sweat' EP alongside Coyu, you would have been hard pressed to bet against the Spaniard becoming a global player. And as expected, he lived up to his potential, going on to become a recipient of Vicious Awards' Best Newcomer and Artist of the Year categories (Vicious Magazine is a Spanish dance music publication), while sponsorship deals with top brands like Native Instruments, Burn and Adidas showed just how marketable he became.

But is the music any good? It sure is, and if you need proof, just go and have a listen to any one of his productions on labels like Visionquest, Cocoon, Cadenza and Cécille. And for a comprehensive understanding of what UNER is about, buy his 2014 debut LP release '432' (released on Diynamic), it really showcased his love for house, techno, melodies and vocal harmonies.

The Spainard also play an important role in various party brands around the world, including Ants at Ushuaia, Ibiza (he is the resident), Carl Cox's The Revolution, Berlin’s Watergate, festivals like Sonar, and regular visits to the Americas: "The USA is a place where I have been going to a few times a year, and I am headed to San Francisco and Los Angeles at the end of July."

For this Balance Selections mix UNER has called upon melodies brushed with percussion for inspiration. And he has put in some extra effort into creating this too: 'I started out with a normal mix but then playing and adding LIVE parts over the tracks as percussions, melodies and atmospheric sounds. So you could say that I almost did my own rework of every track on this podcast.' With a tracklist which feature acts like Eagles & Butterflies, Third Son and Fort Romeau, this should resonate with many Balance listeners.
