"Dach ahoi" und entschleunigt-organisch nach vorn, so die Devise unseres neuen Podcasts, der uns von der zauberhaften "Lotte Ahoi" aus dem "Urban Cosmonaut Radio" Umfeld beschert wurde. Die Programmkuratorin von "Sloth Disco" sowie "Slow Motor" ist für ihren vielfältigen Sound bekannt, der sich nach eigenen Angaben als "Funkumbiafrorientropical" bezeichnen lässt – ein Zungenbrecher, den man sich erstmal auf selbiger zergehen lassen muss, bevor es ans Ohrenstreicheln geht. "Lotte Ahoi" ist mit diesem Podcast ein beachtenswerter Spagat zwischen elektronischem Downtempo, tropischer Rhythmik und kosmischen Trips gelungen, der beweist, dass musikalische Grenzen nur in unseren Köpfen existieren. Hi,
I started working on this witchtape back in July.  This time I took a different approach and started with a storyline but without tracks.  I conceived this mix as a road trip, starting in the plains of Argentina, through the valleys of Chile all the way up to the Andean Mountains, and even higher as the final section emulates the majestic flight of the condor, high above the mountain peaks.  And it quickly became clear that the title should be ‘El Cóndor’.
So I had a story, but still no tracks.  I’m only a deep house fan since the start of this year and back in July my knowledge of South American tracks was very limited.  So I listened attentively to lots of stuff on Soundcloud and if I felt that a track would suit a part of the story, I selected it purely by intuition based on the sound.  I didn’t pay much attention to track names or lyrics.  In any case, my knowledge of Spanish is pretty basic and my knowledge of the Quechua language is limited to the word ‘Quechua’ itself.
Anyway, by September the tracklist was finally complete and I started mixing it all together.  At one point, I recognized the word ‘condor’ in one of the tracks, Dueños De La Cima.  After a few repeat plays, I realized the track was about all the animals which are the rulers of the Andean Mountains, including the condor.  Nice coincidence, I thought.  So, I continued mixing and by early October, I was finally satisfied about my podcast.  Only then I started to get curious about the mysterious title of another track, which is ‘Kuntur Qorianca’.  I looked it up on Google, and I had a real jawdropping moment when I saw that ‘Kuntur’ is the Quechua word for ‘condor’.  I just couldn’t believe it.  I had 2 tracks about condors in my ‘Condor’ mix and all the time I didn’t realize it.  So, was this a case of me selecting the tracks, or the tracks magically inviting themselves into the mix?  Or let’s just call it intuition – the art of tuning in into the energy of a track…

Unsere Nummer 122 kommt diesen Sonntag passend zum Wetter ganz sofatauglich und liebevoll um die Ecke geschmiegt. Und da unsere neues Team-Mitglied Tony Casanova die junge Künstlerin Gina Sabatini schon lange und intensiv kennt hat er uns einen schönen Erfahrungsbericht geschrieben.

„Es war für viele das Highlight des Jahres in meinem kleinen beschaulichen Heimat-Dorf im Süden Deutschlands. Ich lief über die große Wiese im Schlosspark, um mich herum wimmelte es von vielen anderen Jugendlichen die größtenteils aus benachbarten Dörfern und Kleinstädten extra zu uns gekommen sind. Denn das Straßenfest war dieser eine Tag im Jahr an dem es offiziell völlig okay war schon mittags betrunken zu sein und gemeinsam bei lauter Musik die Zeit zu genießen.
 
Ausgestattet mit einem Wodka-Energy in meiner linken Hand schwankte ich über die Wiese, als ich plötzlich ein Tippen auf meiner Schulter bemerkte. Es war ein guter Freund aus meiner Clique: „Tony, ich muss dir jemanden Vorstellen.....das ist Gina!“ und da stand Sie vor mir und begrüßte mich mit einem lockeren „Servus!“  Dieser Tag liegt mehr als 10 Jahre zurück, mittlerweile leben wir beide in Berlin und haben viele Sachen gemeinsam erlebt. Gerade deswegen ist es mir ein besonderes Anliegen ihr heute meinen ersten offiziellen Afterhour Sounds Beitrag zu widmen.

Ginas Kontakt zur elektronischen Musik beginnt früh, sehr früh, denn als Tochter eines leidenschaftlichen House/Disco DJs mit eigenem Plattenladen und Studio im Keller, beeinflusste ihr Vater Sie wie kein anderer. Mit diesem Background und ihren eigenen besonderen Geschmack, der mir über die Jahre immer wieder aufgefallen ist, habe ich es nicht nur einmal versucht sie zum Auflegen zu bringen aber auch meine stärksten Argumente blieben immer ohne Erfolg.

Am Ende war es dann dieser Sonntagmorgen-Bachstelzen-Augen-zu-Moment letztes Jahr der sie letztendlich überzeugte ein Mitglied der musikalischen Reiseführer zu werden. Und so kam der Tag Anfang des Jahres an dem ich Gina zu ihrem ersten offiziellen Auftritt ins Mensch Meier begleitete und sie mich mit auf eine Reise nahm, die meine Erwartungen mehr als übertrafen. Es ist die Mischung aus verträumten Klängen, ein bisschen Disco und die Liebe zur Musik die über all die Jahre reifte, die ihre Sets heute auszeichnen.“

Seit diesem ersten Gig im Mensch Meier hat sich einiges getan. Es folgten zahlreiche tolle weitere Gigs wie at.tension, Johnny Knüppel, Wilde Renate oder für die Love Foundation Crew wo sie ein fester Bestandteil ist. Im November spielt sich eben auch für Love Foundation zwei Gigs in Maastrich und Amsterdam wo sie sich schon mega drauf freut.

So nun haben wir aber schon fast einen Roman über Gina geschrieben und dabei geht’s ja um ihre Musik … liebe Gina viele Dank für diesen umwerfend stimmungsvollen Mix. Und nun ab aufs Sofa, Musik an Welt aus.

Der Sommer entschwand gar unlängst in den weiten Tiefen des Ozeans und die Herbststürme peitschen das Meer auf und lassen die Wellen tosend gegen unseren Bug schlagen. In den Kojen schaukeln die Hängematten nur so umher und in der Kombüse kochen die Kartoffeln über, denn die beiden Smutjes https://soundcloud.com/buchneroberst sind zwar wundervoll musikalische Lausbuben zu Land, doch mit der Seetauglichkeit ist es noch nicht weit her. Aber, ohne Übung kein Meister und ohne Musik keine Überfahrt. Somit schwelgen wir, ob der schweren Winde, in sommerlichen Erinnerungen, als das Meeresrausch Festival uns ein intensiv schönes Wochenende schenkte. Dort verlebten wir 2 tolle Tage, spielten mit dem Klang des Windes und des Wassers und entschlossen uns, bei einer Mate und derlei erheiternden Stoffen, dass wir uns https://soundcloud.com/heimlichaufsc treffen und gemeinsame Sachen machen. Es hat dann doch noch ein zwei Überfahrten gedauert, doch jetzt ist er da und auch endlich online, der inspirierten und tänzerische Eindruck eines Sommerwochenendes.

Tipp: Dem Sommer folgt, auf UNHEIMLICH' en Wegen, eine gespenstische Feier. Am 31.10. 2017 werden die FreundInnen von HEIMLICH und die SEASIDETRIP Crew, im Schloss Cobenzl/ Wien, ein hohes Lied auf die Freundschaft trällern und etliche Gläser auf die Musik erheben. The Finest In Techhouse  Mixed by Kurt Kjergaard

Graue Wolken haben in den letzten Jahren das Glashaus unseres Traums vom Weltfrieden stark erschüttert. Irrsinnige Despoten, unfähige Populisten und rücksichtslose Diktatoren stehen nicht nur an der Spitze der Politik, sondern auch auf den Straßen unserer Städte. Ist dies schon der Anfang vom Ende? Der Wendepunkt, an dem die Dystopie in Realität umschlägt? 
Schallfeld's neue EP Dystopia zeichnet ein dunkles Bild dieser Hoffnungs- und Hilflosigkeit. Verloren wirken die schrillen Synthi-Fetzen, die aus dem dunkel-wabernden Morast aus Bässen hervorstoßen, nur um gleich wieder zu versinken. Der Sound der Tracks „Darkness Falls“, „Fearful Symmetry“ und „Modern Colony“ ist schwer, weit entfernt von unbeschwerter Leichtfüßigkeit sondern alarmierend, fast anklagend. Die Remixe von Andree Wischnewski, Ryan Dupree und Dansir fügen sich nicht nur nahtlos in die düstere Stimmung ein, sondern verstärken zusätzlich den Eindruck einer kraftvollen aber auch bedrohlichen EP, die Aufmerksamkeit verdient und sich auch schafft.

Es gibt einen Ort im Weltraum, der wahrscheinlich bei der Eroberung der unendlichen Weiten zum Touristenziel schlechthin wird. Dieser Platz wird auf ewig mit den Worten „That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind“ in Verbindung gebracht werden. Der Landeplatz der Apollo 11-Astronauten im „Mare Tranquillitatis“, wo Neil Armstrongs „kleiner Schritt“ deutlich machte, dass Menschen in der Lage sind alle Hindernisse zu überwinden.
Besonders farbig ist die helle Mondoberfläche nicht, aber die Landschaft wirkt dennoch atemberaubend, da sie einen krassen Kontrast zum tiefschwarzen Weltraum darstellt. Der Mond besitzt somit eine ganz eigene Schönheit, die mit unseren irdischen Maßstäben nicht beschrieben werden kann. Mit wenig Reizen wird hier ganz viel erschaffen. Ein faszinierender Platz an dem für Äonen „Eindrücke“ der Geschichte bewahrt werden, bis sie von uns wieder entdeckt werden. Ein Hort der Ruhe und des Friedens.
Damit wir nicht noch Jahre Sehnsüchtig auf die Rückkehr zu diesem zauberhaften Ort warten müssen, hat Maikind für uns die Atmosphäre dort mit seiner deep story eingefangen und für uns alle eine mental-musikalische Tranquility base geschaffen. Hier können wir uns fallen lassen, um von seiner Musik aufgefangen zu werden.

Phil is a music lover and when he is going to tell a music story he chooses songs carefully, from downtempo electronica with ethnic notes,
to dark and deep house. He is also searching for vibes that evoke strong emotions and cleanse the soul. 
Many music collectives  supported him so far, like Magician on Duty, Home-Land of Bes, Tepeme Musica, Kybele, Deep & Smooth and many others.
Recently he started making podcasts for his favorite greek web radio, Join Radio, every Sunday at 23.00-00.00 (GTM +2).
