fishplant is back! After his remix for FLYJNT last winter, and his successful releases on labels like Be Adult Music or Rythmica, now is our time to present you 'That's A Vibe on Fibonacci's Forest' - the last EP by this outstanding producer known for his upbeat and happy melodic style.

'That's A Vibe' is the opening track, a delicate gorgeous production where vibrating synths setup the vibe dancing over organic grooves - leaving space for its delicious vocal to shine through on a journey. One of our 2025favorites!

'Fibonacci's Forest' is a perfect B Side. A groovy, heavier floating track featuring a melody using Fibonacci's sequence layered over different nature soundscapes. 

On the remix duties, first presented is the return of Alley SA. The Cape Town based producer gives his magic touch to 'That's A Vibe', with a more Organic House approach that suits any beachclub spot.

Pinkowitz closes the EP, with an amazing debut by the American producer on PB stepping into a more hypnotic, melodic side of House music crafting a track perfect for setting up the vibe on a darker dancefloor.

Aptly setting the scene with some dance-floor absurdity, Komodo comes Running into The Sun for NAAR 015.

Perfectly obtaining the dance-floor ambiance, 'Running into The Sun' produces the visceral beat that gets the party started, with quintessential house stabs channeling the tracks inner balearic heat. Next on the A, Eric Duncan's remix of 'Running into The Sun' funnels the original's heavier elements and pours them into a rattling house shaker. 

On side B, the steady pace of 'Slow Burning' swiftly evaporates with blissful counter melodies that intertwine with arpeggiated synths, sludgy 303s and propulsive drums that create a hypnotic timbre. 'Between Shadows' explores the balearic-beat once more, with opposing guitar melodies vibrating as the soundtrack to this drive-time burnout. Finally, new kids on the block, Latrec add their intrusive Techno remix of 'Slow Burning' to complete the release.

Not An Animal is a label born from the party debris left uncleaned from London’s infamous Bad Passion parties, as ran by Chris Stoker and Andy Bainbridge.

As Chris and Andy’s energy was being devoted more and more to their musical endeavours (Chris - Ess O Ess with Jamie Blanco / Andy - Machete Savane with Saul Richards & more recently Latrec with Ali Colling) it became both a logical and inevitable step that they would eventually see the birth of their own record label, to showcase not only their own music but also that of the friends that they’ve made in over a decade of throwing and attending parties in various guises.

It’s this collective nature which means that Not An Animal cannot be pinned down to one single sound, genre or style. The music is instead linked by a commonality of taste and approach from all of the artists involved. While you can draw some slight comparisons with the contributors (which include the aforementioned Ess O Ess and Machete Savane, as well as Man Power, Lauer, Roman Flugel, Chida, Suzanne Kraft, The Backwoods, Kuniyuki, Frank Butters, Justin Van Der Volgen, Discodromo, Tiago & Angophora ) it would be impossible to say that anything truly unites them further than an open aesthetic which is receptive to sounds as various as Techno, Disco, Rock, Balearica and good old fashioned House, and which doesn’t try to draw any distinction between any of them.
