The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey(raga), on this edition we welcome @cobecobemusic whose beautiful music has been released on kosa, cosmic awakenings, shango and more + awaits an EP release with us aswell!,

ABOUT THE ARTIST -
Cobe-Cobe is a producer, DJ and musician on labels Cosmic Awakenings, Kośa Musica, Tibetania Records, LiLDream and Camel VIP. An acoustic remedy of desert, jungle and metropolis feels, always underpinned by a deep percussive groove, “Cobe-Cobe” [ko-be ko-be] a universal sound under different names.

Originally from the UK, his musical beginnings came when a childhood mentor taught him to improvise at the piano, then Celtic folk sessions, classical and jazz harmonies from Mingus to Stravinsky, tinkering with the original Cubase VST, establishing himself as a double bassist on his local scene, eventually led to studying composition at a UK music college.

Through this, he became captivated by the two sides of music - the hypnotic beat / the ethereal melody, the mind / the heart, harmony / groove, the voice / the kick, celestial beings / earthly roots. Mesmerised by the experience of making others dance, he started to experiment with combining with what he saw as the two sides of music.

Learning vinyl, his first UK gigs were for Hit & Run. Electronic production skills developed, tastes refined, and sounds were collected wherever he roamed, from Colombia to Tulum, London to Amsterdam, to starting the DJ collective Catlocarpio in Cambodia, and recording traditional music in the Tibetan highlands.

The Other Side Records proudly presents the upcoming EP, "Trails of Dance," by Speurtocht. While Speurtocht roughly translates to "scavenger hunt" in Dutch, this definition doesn't quite capture the mystery and the sense of losing oneself on such a voyage, a sentiment integral to his musical exploration.

For Speurtocht, music embodies an endless adventure with various paths waiting to be explored, much like a captivating mystery.

Embark on a quest and roam through the jungle, where the music invites you to "Find your way," revealing hidden gems akin to the musical treasures in Speurtocht's tracks.

The opening track, "Titchadshi," crafted during quarantine, invites listeners to transcend and embark on a psychedelic odyssey. The second track, "Tex," seamlessly combines tribal rhythms with the preceding psychedelic theme. As a unique twist, the EP concludes with a remix of "Tex" by The Oddness – a dance floor powerhouse that pulls you back to Earth, encouraging you to shake your hips with feet firmly grounded. It serves as a dynamic and immersive finale to this sonic journey.

Doch lässt man den Freiraum, entwickelt sich der andere ganz ungehemmt. So bleibt die aufrichtige Sympathie bestehen, nur die unterschiedlichen Wünsche lassen sie in eine andere Richtung gehen. Wichtig ist der Selbstrespekt und die Achtung vor dem anderen. Denn wer weiß schon wie sich die Pfade über das Leben hinweg wandeln …

👨‍🎤 Voldemar ist ein aufstrebender DJ mit russischen Wurzeln, der sich New York City zu seinem zu Hause gemacht hat. Schon seit seinem siebten Lebensjahr lebt er für die Musik und stand bereits auf verschiedensten Bühnen. Mittlerweile hat er seine Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik gefunden und es sich in diesem Genre so richtig gemütlich gemacht. Dabei bevorzugt er einen diversen, von unterschiedlichen Einflüssen geprägten Sound. So kombiniert er russischen Folk mit organischen Melodien und treibenden Bässen. Für KataHaifisch gibt es ein knackiges Downtempo- und Progressive-House Set. Wir sind hin und weg und auch ein bisschen verliebt.
