After the success of our first various artists release, ‘The Voice of EKOU’, we’d like to present to you our next installment, ‘The Full Spectrum’. This project started as an idea to create a platform for up and coming producers, however over the previous months has developed into something that has allowed us to include both newcomers and established artists alike. 
	
In the 2 and a half years since our first release, we’ve been on a constant journey through sound, and have been a platform for a variety of artists, all of whom produce a variety of styles under the drum & bass umbrella. With ‘The Full Spectrum’, we hope to showcase our journey for you, our audience; some of you have been with us from the beginning, others are new to the label - either way we hope you know what to expect!

This is our representation of the full spectrum of drum & bass, and what the genre means to us. We hope you enjoy listening to this massive VA just as much as we did putting it together. 

‘The Full Spectrum’ has 22 tracks, split over 2 parts, and features both newcomers and seasoned artists alike. Part 1 drops exclusively on February 4th via Bandcamp and Beatport, followed two weeks later by Part 2 on February 18th.

LA's Lady Blackbird has just released her debut album Black Acid Soul and it's a smokey vocal jazz edged masterpiece where Lady Blackbird simply pours out the feelings, thoughts and sensations accrued across her lifetime via a selection of songs which quite simply captive from the first note to the last.

Taken from the album 'Lost and looking' is sparse and evocative cover of Sam Cook's original track, with it's deft keys and haunting vocal delivery it's one of the stand out tracks from the album. 

Our premier today see's Cosmodelica's @colleen-cosmo-murphy take on the remix duties for @foundation-m-p and flip the track into a throbbing powerhouse of a club track replete with funky guitar licks, laser synth stabs and acidic edges. All round this is a pretty incredible piece of work which takes this fabulous artist straight to dancefloor.

After hitting the stages of numerous clubs and festivals with their impressive live act, electronica duo AFAR deliver the 12th EP of Vienna’s Heimlich Musik – with Oberst & Buchner and Geju on remix duty. "Lulled and Fake" is a freshly unique piece of music consisting of dark analog synth lines and accentuated guitar notes that create a rich and powerful surface for vocals using a broad spectrum of the harmonic scale. Created in an attic in the middle of nowhere, complex rhythms are guiding the journey exploring the discrepancy between a human being’s inner soul and the constant need for self-promotion in a digital world of superficiality.

Heimlich’s own Oberst & Buchner are extending the original mix by laying down classic acid lines and arpeggiator parts while sticking to the main theme as a storyline. A stripped-down drum kit leaves just enough space for the duo's trademark hypnotic vibe to evolve through the re-imagined arrangement.

The third duo featured on the EP is Geju from Moscow, delivering the second remix for "Lulled and Fake". Their remix is based on the guitar parts while a playful rhythm is created by blending drum parts from the original mix with their own unique style. As a result, Geju transform the original mix into one of their own creations of recognizable value with the potential to create special moments on the dance floor.

Tribal Steps is inspired by conscious gatherings, ecstatic dance and community circles. It is compiled in ecstatic dance form, with different styles and tempos going from ambient to more rhythmic, peak, slowing and downtempo at the end. Mission is to inspire people to create a strong supporting community, to gather more like in tribal societies.
   The compilation is for "Name your price " and all the donations will go for building an open space hall, surrounded by nature and permaculture garden, where different activities will be held, like music sessions, ecstatic dance, fire gatherings, permaculture & aromatherapy workshops, education for children and retreats.
