Cymatic locks in with Thönis & Otawanta for their first drop on the label - Straightforward, a deep and dubby house EP that leans heavy into groove and atmosphere. Joining them on remix duties are Junior Kurtis and Eastmynd who both bring two distinct moods and energies to the original.  

The original rolls smooth with silky vocal stabs and delicate guitar touches that glide effortlessly over the highly infectious and glitchy groove. We love this new take on Deep House, blending  many different styles and techniques to create a track that can be played poolside or on a dance floor.   

On the flip side, Junior Kurtis takes his remix into a classic dub cut with a weighty low-end, rich textures, and that endless space to get lost in - the stuff dreams are made from! 

Closing up the EP we have EASTMYND bringing a warmer, sun-soaked twist through his lush pads and airy synth work, you could say a mix of the previous two tracks to create the perfect blend of deep dub and House.

Flukes, chance, fate: many words could be used to describe coincidences, but when life affords you these occasions, fascination is inevitable. Leo Janeiro is a genuine “Carioca” who was somehow blessed with his birth-city’s name. This could have been just a happy coincidence were it not for the time and choice factors that have turned him into a protagonist of his hometown’s electronic music scene.
Amidst breathtaking scenery and immersed in the unique routine provided by nature’s calm, contrasted to the hustle and bustle typical of this metropolis-exclusive features of Rio de Janeiro, Leo has built a career devoted to music. In a city where so many of the attractions are of the day, it was the night and House Music that caught Leo’s attention.

Influenced by the Black Music played at Rio’s legendary “Charme” dance gatherings, the DJ fell in love with the novelty that electronic music represented in the 90s. In the early 00s he finally surrendered to this passion and decided to devote himself entirely to music. In a short period of time the artist became one of Rio’s major characters, promoting his own parties called “Bootleg" in Rio’s underground club Fosfobox, and also performing in Rio’s top clubs and festivals.

Merging his talent and experience on the pick-ups, Leo's career soon surpassed the city’s limits and he branched out to other shores - where else would you expect to find a true-born Carioca? The DJ is now a resident at MOB festival, Warung Beach Club and Beehive Club, securing his name amongst Brazil’s top DJs. His participation is also fundamental in designing the Rio Music Conference - he is both supporter and curator for the conference - as well as A&R for Warung Recordings. Janeiro’s career as a music producer has also developed in a fast-paced rhythm, thanks to his musical touch full of personality and also to successful partnerships made throughout the years.

Today Leo has compiled not only an impressive list of performances in countries like Spain, Portugal, Holland, Germany and the United States, but he has also become an ambassador for Brazilian electronic music - a very aware of his fortune one: just like his hometown, his ability to combine originality to the universal language of music remains unique.
