Up next on Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters imprint, we welcome Italian DJ and producer, Adapter, to the label with his debut 'Feel 4 U' EP. Adapter's signature brand of Tech House fuses his love for the sounds of the 80s and 90s with a new, experimental modern twist. His releases have found favour with respected labels including Hot Creations, Desolat, Relief, Snatch!, Too Many Rules and in turn earning him support from the likes of Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati and many more. The 'Feel 4 U' EP is indicative of Antonio's signature sound, showcasing his consistent delivery of high quality, attitude influenced Tech House with warped vocal cuts, pulsating low-end grooves, crunchy percussion, robust drum works and powerful bass hooks throughout.

Marquis Hawkes continues to supply quality, disco-infused house with ‘The Basement is Burning’ EP on AUS Music, featuring the euphoric and energetic title track.

It’s no surprise Marquis Hawkes is right at home on AUS Music, having released a collection of the label’s top EPs in the past two years, including ‘Chances’, ‘Doornroosje’ and ‘Love Precipitation’. Now he’s set to drop his second release on the imprint in 2017, showcasing more of his soulful and emotive material. 

‘The Basement is Burning’ leads off with a warm piano melody paired with a steady house beat which leads into a crescendo of blissful strings and synth. It’s interesting to note that the track was inspired by a distressing event in which his home caught fire and his family had to be rescued from a fifth floor balcony. Once he and his family were safe, Hawkes had to dash across Berlin to make it to a live show at 10am. A few days later, ‘The Basement is Burning’ was born.

‘The Basement is Burning’ EP is set for release May 26.

Leading the release, ‘I Need U’ embodies the very kind of dancefloor mania label-boss Patrick Topping’s sets are renowned for. Huge vocals are front and centre as matching synth and bass lines evolve to form a track decidedly geared towards ecstatic moments. ‘Hyperactive’ keeps the energy levels high with crisp drums, detuned pads and a grinding bassline, peppered with light synth plucks and wonky FX. ‘Ponger’ closes out the release with cheeky leads and thumping low end, adding another dose of intensity to an EP which solidifies Adapter’s chops as a producer, as well as Topping’s ear for A&R.
