We're bringing another label debut to Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters imprint this summer in the form of London based DJ duo, My Friend who team up with budding newcomer and rising star, Tommy Farrow, to deliver the 'Forget Nothing' EP. Hurtling onto the scene back in 2018 when label boss, Danny Howard crowned them his 'Future Fire', My Friend have gone on to produce on various projects together, played around the world and released on some of the most respected labels in the industry. Tommy Farrow on the other hand, has catapulted through the Dance ranks following on from the overwhelming success of his debut EP on Stress Records which became a staple across many AAA DJ's sets and received high praise from Radio heavyweights Danny, MistaJam, Jaguar, Annie Mac and Pete Tong who all supported the record. The 'Forget Nothing' EP, draws on each artist's unique style and sound, blurring the lines of House, Techno and Progressive and drawing on modernised 90's and 00's euphoric Trance influences. Showcasing uplifting melodies, driving depths, powerful synth patterns, crisp percussion, commanding basslines and hypnotic vocal cuts, the 'Forget Nothing' EP offers two stellar productions that are perfect both for the streaming market and the dancefloor alike. Canadian DJ and producer Simon Doty announces his debut album ‘Universal Language’. The ten-track LP will be released on Anjunadeep on the 28th of April 2023, with the first single ‘Soulflow’ (feat. Ursula Rucker) out today.

‘Soulflow’ sees Simon collaborate with American spoken word artist Ursula Rucker, whose thought-provoking vocals can be heard on tracks with artists including Dusky, Marquis Hawkes and Josh Wink. Combining Ursula’s vocals with stabbing chords and a driving bassline, Simon perfectly epitomises his timeless house sound that has previously earned him support from Adam Beyer, Adriatique, Gorgon City and Hot Since 82, among others.

A firm favourite among fans of the label, Simon first debuted on Anjunadeep in 2019 with his track ‘Sama’ and has since put out five stand out EPs on the label, including ‘Hometown EP’, his ‘Living Sound EP’ and most recently, his collaborative cut ‘Touch The Sky’ with Marsh, which have collectively amassed over 3 million streams and support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Gorgon City and Ben Malone.

Crafted for the dancefloor, Simon’s debut album ‘Universal Language’ gives the audience a chance to listen to a range of musical styles that they can expect to hear Simon play during one of his DJ sets, ranging from house to deep house to melodic techno.

The album features a range of collaborations including American spoken word artist Ursula Rucker, british duo My Friend, singer / songwriter Tailor, UK-based producer and vocalist Artche, british songstress Ruth Royall and legendary American vocalist Roland Clark as well as a remix of JODA’s hit track ‘Closer’ (feat. Robyn Sherwell).

In support of his upcoming album, Simon has recently announced phase one of his ‘Universal Language’ tour. Featuring over 30 dates, the tour kicks off in February in North and South America, before moving over to Europe and Asia. More dates will be announced later this year.

Jody Wisternoff & James Grant release 'Blue Space', the third single off Jody's upcoming LP 'Nightwhisper'. 

Written the week following label festival Anjunadeep Explorations, 'Blue Space' was inspired by the bittersweet emotions of the beautiful surroundings and people, coupled with the passing away of Jody's father. On the track, James reminisces "We built the track around an initial musical idea we had together, then Jinadu's beautiful vocals came later and took the track in a more optimistic but still melancholic direction". 

Nightwhisper is out May 1.

Organic Tunes kick off on a fine footing with a new single from boss man The Organism featuring a big remix from Far&High.

Orion is the name of the tune and is a bubbly techno roller with a dark vocal loop layered over the top of the groove. Synths shoot through the mix to bring light and energy and the whole thing is sure to get clubs marching as one.

Far&High remix it into a dark disco vibe, with spangled chords and twisted synths pranging about the mix. It is a tense, involving tune that soars ever higher and will make any floor take off.
