LIT LEVI is a 25-year-old singer/rapper hybrid whose music is rooted in real-life experience, survival, and raw energy. Born in Mulberry, Arkansas, he spent his early years moving across the western part of the state. At 16, after being placed on probation and not living at home, he was sent to rehab. While he was away, his family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. When he got out, he was suddenly in a new city, surrounded by unfamiliar streets and trying to adapt to a new life as a teenager.

At 18, Levi moved to Maine to escape the violent crime he had been around in Tulsa, particularly the rising number of police-involved shootings. Once in Maine, he dropped a single under a former name, but his true reintroduction came in December 2021 with “479-207-0918” — a track named after the area codes of the places he’d lived. It marked the beginning of his return to music and reflected his identity and experiences at that time.

He began rapping at 16, but stepped away from music between 2019 and late 2021 to refocus on what truly mattered. That changed after attending a local music festival where he met and recorded an artist — an experience that reignited his passion and reminded him that music was still part of his purpose.

The “LIT” in LIT LEVI is more than just a name — it symbolizes his obsession with lasers, bright lights, and vivid colors, which are central to his style, stage energy, and visual creativity. Embracing his identity as a multi-dimensional artist, Levi is also a skilled vocal engineer, graphic designer, and former artist manager. These talents allow him to be fully hands-on with his creative process and to support other artists in the scene, both sonically and visually.

His art is also shaped by deep personal experiences. He lost his father at the age of 4, and before turning 15, he broke both of his legs in separate incidents. Despite these physical and emotional challenges, he’s pushed through, using music as a form of resilience and expression.

Since stepping into the LIT LEVI era, he’s performed over 20 times across Maine, thrown 3 of his own shows, hosted private events, and amassed over 10,000 plays across streaming platforms. He also serves as the head admin of the Maine Local Music Forum, the largest Facebook group dedicated to Maine’s independent music community.

LIT LEVI represents growth, energy, and unapologetic truth. Every song he writes is a reflection of where he’s been, what he’s seen, and how far he still plans to go.
