Based in Manchester, False Nines are four musicians in thrall to the moments where indie-pop, rock and roll and alt-country come together. Fans of things such as Field Music, Elliott Smith, The Wave Pictures, Wilco, White Denim and many more, they've been writing material together since late 2012. Much like their fabled and elusive namesake in the world of football tactics, False Nines are somewhat awkward to describe - but when you hear them, it will all become clear.

Focusing on the raw dynamics of guitarist Anthony Jurado, bassist Grant Gilliland, and drummer Trevor Morris, the group also pulls elements of Heavy Rock and Post-Punk into their raw and moody instrumental sound.
