This week's mixtape is a very very special affair, brought to you by our friends at the huge High Definition Festival, which takes place this summer at the beginning of July. We brought in the talents of one the UK's finest artists, monsieur Huxley, to provide us with the first installment in this series of exclusive mixes and it's a peach!

High Definition has been around for a few years now and prides itself on its mega line-ups, which are beyond ridiculous and cover everything electronic from deep house to drum'n'bass, so there's a little something for everyone at the event. This year is their fifth anniversary and, as you might expect, they've really gone all out to make it the biggest festival of the summer.

You can expect some serious names on the line-up, including: Miguel Campbell, Art Department, Apollonia, Nick Curly, Argy, Luciano, Darius Syrossian, Dennis Ferrer and many many more. They also pay close attention to their production, using in-house production company Light Design Ltd to light up the skies of the stunning Eridge Park with what's promised to be its largest production to date.

Musik ist schon was feines.. 

Sie berührt, verbindet und spricht alle Sprachen :)
Bei uns sind es der bevorstehende Frühling sowie die ersten Sonnenstrahlen des Jahres welche zu dem Song inspiriert haben.

Das tolle ist, dass zum einen mal wieder alles live eingespielt wurde und wir keine Loops oder ähnliches benutzt haben, zum anderen ist es ein Projekt in dem viele der Samples mit diversen Utensilien aufgenommen wurden.  

Es kamen verschiedene Babyspielzeuge wie z.B Rasseln & Springfrösche zum Einsatz, was an sich schon irgendwie geil ist und ne Menge Freude bereitet hat.. :D 

Stimme und reguläre Hochgefühl waren halt auch wieder dabei... 

Und das ist nun das Resultat. =)

Sorry wenn die Quali durchaus besser sein könnte.

Ein batzen Herzen geht raus an alle die unser Ding fahren und sich Zeit für die Mucke nehmen...

The Hotel Costes Presents... Studio HC series delivers its fifth long player, coming courtesy of A-Delta with their ‘Port De L’Arsenal’ album. A-Delta is the collaborative guise of Studio HC’s driving force Adrien De Maublanc and jazz guitarist David Mechali, a sonic synergy which sees the pair skilfully fuse intricate electronics with soul-infused guitar work. The result is a dynamic twist on a classic downtempo aesthetic

Throughout the project De Maublanc and Mechali meld together glitched out percussion, expansive delayed guitar licks and warm low-end tones. From the ever-unfolding, freeform jazz feel of tracks like opener ‘On A Rencontré’, ‘L’Autre Soir’ and title-cut ‘Port De L’Arsenal’ through to more subtly nuanced contributions like ‘Charmant’, ‘Un Musicien’, ‘A Paris’ and ‘Une Chance’, the pair deliver a touch of class and sophistication with a nod to classic jazz composition.
