I wrote and recorded this song in the late 1990's at a time when I did not feel well.  

Lies bite into my mind
The pain that bends my soul
When those you trust turn and hurt you
But there's nowhere to go

And if only God can see the truth
What good does that do me in this world?
Cause' I'm made of flesh and blood
And my heart is broken
And I've fallen away from the herd

I just can't lay my life to rest
I just can't let them get the best of me
My love is bleeding all through the day
Why did they take it and throw it away?

If I could find her
Maybe she could help me
Rise above this mess
The weight is too heavy for me to lift
I can't do this on my own
