Concrete Ghosts

MMYYLO is a French producer who has created a niche within techno for his
distinctive approach, fusing analogue synthesizers, guitars, haunting vocals, and
hypnotic rhythms. Here he drops two tracks for Oliver Huntemann’s relentless
Senso Sounds imprint, perfectly merging his own aesthetics with the label’s philosophy.
Innelvisun is a deeply grooving techno burner built around a perfectly crafted arp
sequence that mutates over the track’s run time.
Innelvistep continues the journey with another killer arpeggiated synth from
MMYYLO’s preferred Juno-60, and with the layering of washes and pads builds up
an intense and thrilling vibe.
Of these two tracks MMYYLO states: "I built these tracks following my usual
process. First, I look for inspiration on the synthesizer I always use the Juno-60.
Once the arps are in place, I focus on the vocals and their effects. Then I look for
a guiding line with effects, harmonies, etc. Both tracks were created at the same
time, based on the same foundations. I always try to maintain a groovy, danceable,
and dark atmosphere”.

What a delight it is to share the gift of music with one another! Extremely grateful for those who came for this first Inscape Movement.

After years away from the decks, I wanted my return to the DJ world to be in a format where I could speak freely — a space of infinite freedom of expression, both for myself as an artist and for those who dance. A space far from the walls of genre, tempo, or expectation, while rooted in artistic self-exploration.

For me, music has always been one of the most intimate and profound expressions of life, reaching far beyond the limitations of words.

Our beings and experiences are far from linear, so the sounds we resonate with follow that same pattern. That’s why I mix without borders of style, genre, or BPM — because the art and music are companions to us through life’s shifting, flowing journey.

From there, movement becomes inevitable. Each sound awakens a feeling, each feeling calls the body into motion, and each movement can speak a thousand words. Interpretive dance is one of the few things which makes sense to me — it is the perfect conduit, an offering that honours the depths within, and harmonises mind, body, and soul.

I believe the rise of “conscious dances” (5 Rhythms, Ecstatic Dance and others) is a blessing in our turbulent world. They offer radical authenticity, raw connection, a release for the soul, and an anchor for our restless minds. Here, both as a dancer and as a DJ, I feel I have found my place.

Wanting to share this more widely, I took inspiration from these practices and created INSCAPE Movement as a new movement to leave room for any evolution. 

This first recorded mix is very dear to me. It contains 24 of my favourite tracks spanning 15 years of music gathering, woven together live in the flow of the night.

PS: it’s not perfect DJing by any means — you’ll hear some tempo-mismatch transitions and extended EQ sweeps while I was giving guidance to the dancers. But it was fun, it was alive, and that’s why I want to share it.

Formerly known as Heliwr, NotSleepingWell are a UK duo living in France making electronic music since 2016. Incorporating elements of electronica, deep house and techno, they combine deep and warm melodies with moody driving rhythms, making feet move and heads nod. 
After a couple of self-releases, the Heliwr track “Late Night Tales” was featured on UK label Gibbon Records’ 2019 Arboreal Summer Vol.IV.
