But I showed upn and I tipped my hat 

watched my babies learn to dream 

& prayed they’d find what love can mean

& tried to leave a kinder place 

I don’t need gold I don’t need fame

When the last note fades away 

Let them know I tried to stay 

& if this is my dying wish
