The uplifting 'Rote Nacht' (A1) reveals the contrasting energy between the tumultuous city and the silent mountain, before gently giving way to the feelings of the exotic seascape in 'Essaouira' (A2). Delicately, yet suprising as ever, Acid Pauli rearranges the warm drums in 'Essaouira' (B1) to let your spirit rest in an imagined, green oasis, before it’s completely taken away by the lightness of the seabirds in 'Taghazout' (B2).

Hey Guys! This is my newest remix for Phil & Dan's - Everybody Loves , coming out soon in Oct 3 2013 by Blacksoul Music. When i was a youngster Phil Fuldner was all over the radio and TV with his house tracks and i can remember dancing to it in the club.Knowing this handsome guy for a while and being asked to make a remix for his newest track i didn´t hesitate to do so. This one goes straight into the early Jack House sound from the 80´s (80´s, as u know that´s my thing..) with a 2013 twist. Very energetic with a upfront bassline, "in yo face" sound so to speak. Maxim created the ICE LP within a timespan of 3 years, mostly while traveling throughout Germany by train, touring as part of the Günther Lause duo. The LP portrays the complex networks of railways and tunnel systems that permeate the earth like artificial veins. Sonically it is very much inspired by the soundscapes of urban spaces and rail stations, the pulsing motions of modern mass transportation, which he captured in various field recordings that are mixed into the dub techno influenced atmospheres. 

Vinyl will be limited to 500 copies.

Route 8 - I Can't

This special one off collaboration sees Berlin prodigy Max Graef, coupling with globe trotter Fantastic Man aka Mic Newman. With Mic living in Max's broom cupboard for a few vodka soaked weeks in Berlin last autumn, there was a beautiful inevitability that some music would outcome. The lead track "Soothe Me" is no noodly shrinking violet, but a grade 10-cross-genre-dance-floor-destroyer which Andy snapped up for label on first listen. Clearly taking it's inspiration from the Rhodes and sample drenched Sound Signature Detroit label and adding in live instrumentation, tape effects, for a track rich in Steely Dan sensibility, coupled with a sub bass and twisted lead line dragging us into a new year. The B-Side Relaxin' At The Flip is a raw slab of analogue goodness, flying 606 high hats, a tough kick drum and simple elements driving the track forwards, best heard 8am in a dark corner of a club.

This set was recorded on my first trip to South Africa, where I performed at a festival and a free show in Soweto alongside local artists Vinny da Vinci , Dj Fresh, Euphonik, Culoe de Song and LSG. All tour dates were partnered with non-profit organisation Bridges for Music. The aim was to use music to break down socio-economic boundaries bringing people from different communities together . 'DE9 Fragments' is a series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.
