He has produced something a little different to the usual Disco, Jazzy sound of Nova Funk, mixing warm Balearic goodness with elements of 90's house that will automatically transport you to a sun set stricken beach party that you don't want to leave any time soon!

Timéo is a dj and a records collector, always looking for the warm sound of a bassline and passionate about organic grooves! He love to spin records somewhere in between 90s house, soulful, deep and balearic. To appreciate this podcast you can imagine a guy driving on the italian east coast, having a nonchalant attitude, wearing sunglasses and doesn't knowing where he's going, just enjoying this possibility to feel this energy. This imagination of the Italian east coast follows him since a good friend of his recorded a podcast that transported Timéo straight to these places.  

"It doesn't get any better with the lockdown here in France, I need to imagine something like that to escape."

After last weeks Jazz adventure, Ive got iner, hailing from Skt. Petersburg delivering the natural successor in form of an incredible mix of Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and House. Perfect for an afternoon ride on the bike, or for sitting in a chair sippin' on sunshine. It might even amp you up for tonights party shenanigans. 

Iner is an established name in the underground house scene with a plethora of incredible releases coming from his hand, as well as his own label Dobro Music which has seen only a few, but yet incredible V/A releases, full of local talent from the Russian underground scene. Well worth checking out. 

Hopefully I'll get a chance to get this guy to Copenhagen for a night behind the decks once we get the green light for proper appreciation of our music. 

Until then, here's 55 minutes of quality from the man Himself.

Miguel Colmenares Loves To Boogie (Olindo Records / Colectivo Futuro)

For the next few mixes we are going to focus on the heads behind the scenes of some of the UK hottest up and coming labels. First up we have A record collector and DJ for over 15 years, Miguel Colmenares, the co-founder of cultural platform Colectivo Futuro and more recently Olindo Records, a label releasing music from his native Venezuela and the world. Now based in London, his DJ sets are infused with soulful music from across the globe with a heavy nod to his Caribbean roots. Alongside his Colectivo Futuro partners, Miguel has hosted and played at The Jazz Cafe, Brilliant Corners, Giant Steps, Total Refreshment Centre, and Five Miles in London; Public Records in New York; Concreta Sala, Technique Records, and Gramps in Miami; Nochenegra in CDMX; Berlin Community Radio and Michelberger Hotel in Berlin; Sala Siroco in Madrid; and King Kong Lady in Barcelona. Miguel has also co-founded Venezuelan reissue label Música Infinita, which will launch in winter 2020 with a re-release of The Message by Gerry Weil, keep an eye out!
