Giving you A Chance To Dance this week is Irish-born, London-based DJ and Producer, Tree Threes.

Jamie first came onto our radar following his more recent releases on Huster Trax and sister label, Closer To Truth but its fair to say that we were a little late to the party in discovering a producer who really knows how to lay down a classic-house inspired deep house track.

With releases over the last few years on labels such as House Salad Music, Elevation Recordings in Ireland, Kolour Recordings and not to mention a debut release on the mighty Nervous Records, Tree Threes has achieved a lot in a relatively short space of time. And if, like us, you were a little late in discovering his talents then there is no time like the present to follow his production journey, with forthcoming releases due on a new V.A compilation for Morris Audio, Vol.2 & Vol.3 on House Salad Music, Fri by Frikado and a brand new label co-owned by Hurlee & Esuoh. We'll leave all of the relevant links below.

With a great taste in music, Jamie has delivered us an eclectic mix with records from Soulphiction, Kerry Chandler, Glenn Davis, Moodymann and a sublime closer from Larry Heard, as well as some of his own unreleased material.

Milan’s @Turbojazz is currently celebrating two decades in the music business with the release of his rather sublime album Whateverism. It’s a journey through all the sounds and genres which have shaped his now celebrated musical output including Nu Jazz, Soul and House from deep to broken beat. It’s a wonderfully rich release.

Mark Broadbent aka Radio Guesthouse, is one half of the Ibiza based tag team Dj duo, The Brothers Grim. Playing regularly at venues on and off the island of Ibiza, with a more ‘Balearic’ leaning whilst not always playing ‘Balearic’ selections. First in last to leave. Dividing opinions since 1969.

"...making a Balearic themed mix without it sounding cliche or cheesy outside of its traditional setting - i.e poolside or seaside - isn’t that easy. I didn’t want to go down the traditional Silver Back route by using tracks that had been specifically made to sound ‘Balearic’ whilst finding tracks that played next to each other give that energy without being ‘Balearic’ standards. Sounds confusing but I think I’ve managed to put something nice together for you."

Edinburgh's Athens of the North (@djfryer) is one of the best labels out there right now and indeed has been leading the way for a few years now. A combination of wonderful re-issues, re-discoveries from dusty digging tricks and some sublime original material it's been and LV go-to for quite some time for gigs. AOTN is a label which manages to balance a regular output on both vinyl and digital with a ridiculously high quality level.

One of the releases that caught my ear recently from the label was the sublime album from Bright & Findlay which has all the hallmarks of a future classic for lovers of NY disco/ Metro Area/ Balearic electronic and the likes.

I thought that it was high time we stopped admiring from afar and grabbed a chat with label boss Euan Fryer about his history and the background to the label and what he has upcoming. He also sent us this rather brilliant mix from a recent live gig he did in Ibiza. Please give it a share and help us spread the ❤️.
