The Black Light Disco Show returned for its weekly tickling of the  myhouseradio.fm airwaves - and here's the whole two hours in all of its glory! 

It’s an all residents affair again this week with Esteban & Goz priming the confetti cannons and arming the glitter bombs here in the BLD Towers events space. The lads have been working away in the ‘Sonic Achievables Lab’ all weekend so it’ll be nice for them to take in the neon gases and disco particulates of the events space. They’ve both got their nebulisers so we assume they’ll be ok.

Esteban kicks things off with a set that's heavy on the bass and weaves effortlessly in and out of disco & house, featuring the likes of Corrado Alunni, Birdee & Keli Sae, Never Dull, More Amour and Jo Paciello to name but a few. 

Goz then takes over for the second hour - taking things up a notch and swinging things around from jazzy nonchalance to deep grooves and killer disco. Expect pure fire tracks from Delfonic & Kapote, Saison & Miss Patty, Andy Bach and Aaron Swales amongst others.

What a special treat this show was! First up on hosting duties we had an original Disco Walton, Ken Avalon of Discoholics Anonymous @discoanon. Ken is a well respected DJ/producer and  radio host from Denmark. He has a huge following and his successful long running show, Hot to the Touch, on Prime Radio helped inspire the some fellow DWs to start their own shows. Ken has impeccable taste combining old & new and every mix is a journey & educational.

Our very special guest this week is Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic. We're all massive fans of Delfonic and we're super excited to have him join us on our show. Based in Berlin, Delfonic runs Illegal Jazz Records alongside Toy Tonics honcho, Kapote  as well as A&R/ Label Manager at wordandsound/whatpeopleplay.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Delfonic, is as versatile and informed a DJ as they come. Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. His set for us is pure class, you'll love it!

Grooveology 005 sees us joined by Javi Frias, a well respected DJ and producer from the disco and house scene. He began collecting and playing records as a young ‘soul boy' at the end of the nineties in Madrid, his hometown, and since then he has not stopped traveling to share his music through many venues, clubs and festivals worldwide. New York, Cairo, London, Mexico City, Paris, Barcelona, Washington DC, Amsterdam or Berlin are some of the places where he has had the opportunity to carry out his incendiary, eclectic and danceable sets full of disco, boogie, afro, funk, house and soulful sounds.

In the past few years he has begun to make noise at international level thanks to his edits and reworks, published a handful of EPs and singles on influential labels like Street Edits, Tropical Disco Records, Giant Cuts, Midnight Riot, Boogie Café or Bons Records. His music is played and charted regularly by top DJs such Danny Krivit, Detroit Swindle, Red Greg, Horse Meat Disco, Jacques Renault, Rahaan, Marcel Vogel, Folamour, Get Down Edits & Frank Booker

In 2017 he started his own label Night Shift Records, devoted to edits and reworks of disco and house, where he has released in vinyl and digital his own productions and occasionally the work of other fellow producers. He's also part of the mysterious Disco Pocho label, focused on the soul and funk side of the disco edit, where he has already released a couple of 7”

He is currently resident DJ and booker of Discotizer, the best disco, boogie and house party in Spain currently taking place at El Sotano, where he has invited and shared the decks with artists like Louie Vega, Joey Negro, Danny Kirivit, Eli Soul Clap, Detroit Swindle, Rahaan, Red Greg, HMD, Eli Escobar, Dan Shake, Medlar, Jacques Renault, Get Down Edits, Marcel Vogel, Ron Basejam, Art Of Tones, Luxxury, Alkalino, Eddie C, Faze Action, Dicky Trisco, The Revenge, Mr. Mendel, Alexander Nut, Ray Mang, Kon, Luke Solomon, Melvo Baptiste & Dr. Packer
