We are very excited to have one of our favourite, rising talent for mix 34.  Introducing @thirdattempt

Norwegian producer, Third Attempt, has wasted no time making his uniquely indelible mark on the subaquatic musical universe. The Oslo-based artist has released impeccably produced music on a tight selection of renowned labels, including finding a regular home on supreme Norwegian imprint, Beatservice, as well as benchmark UK
disco imprint, Paper Recordings.

The depth of his musical wisdom and the influences he carries
into his essential productions are nothing short of staggering. Traversing dreamy soundscapes that blissfully range in tone through lounge, jazz, ambient, trip-hop and house, his work is endowed with a supple musicality that belies his tender age. 

His accomplishments are all the more impressive when you take into account that he's
completely self-taught in music and production – having travelled a winding path deep into the electronic underground following his earliest exposure to the more commercial shades of the spectrum. Journeying through the experimental sounds of Ambient, Trip-
Hop, House, Techno, he's diligently studied masters to arrive at his extraordinarily refined and evolving sound signature.

Widdox is first to release a mix on the newly formed series 'Nova Funk' 

Widdox is DJ based in Bristol, UK. From moving to the West country city, he discovered a new wave of disco edits, deep house and mixing in flavours of Jazz and Latin influenced grooves. 

He has been Djing at various bars for the last couple of years and runs a successful night called ‘Mommas Groove’ A collective of 4 established DJ's in their own right, bringing a ‘Glitterbox’ inspired uplifting party atmosphere designed to unite all ages, persuasions and walks of life on the dancefloor. This includes their legendary Day & Night Parties at 51's Stokes Croft. 

Always on the look for rare new sounds, he tries to create mixes and DJ sets that take the listener on a journey, incorporating laid back vibes to disco house stompers!

SoulSplendid is a dutch entrepreneur with a passion for deep and soulful music ranging from 50s Hardbop Jazz music to 80s Electro Funk and 90s Hip Hop to Deep House. 

He started a mix series on MIxcloud in 2015 that featured deep and dusty house music and disco edits. SoulSplendid occassionally teams up with dutch producer https://soundcloud.com/aventureux making disco edits. 

His main influences are Harry Wolfman, Moodyman, Theo Parrish, Cody Currie, Loz Goddard, Max Graef, Carlos, The Black Loops, Frits Wentink and MCDE.

The Milan born producer has been living in Bristol for four years now and began a musical journey from the age of 16.

He slowly became interested in electronic, digital production and was fascinated by the world of vinyl. Starting a DJ career in various clubs in Milan, which then lead to playing across Italy and Europe.

Moving to England created an evolution with experimenting with new genres, lowering bpm's, sampling old vinyls and rediscovering a sound in jazz/house/funk soul.

Kiu D has relased more than 15 eps for Masterworks Music, Hotdigits, Hotbox Boogie, Spa In Disco, Special Edition, Sprechen plus other singles and remixes for many differents labels.

R.I.S.A aka Edzus Ristamecs born in 1987. Started to produce music from 2006 . Inspired by music genre Dj,s & Producers from Drum&Bass , House, Dubstep, Jazz, Soul, Funky, Disco, Hip Hop background, started to select music and Dj-ing in small clubs and private parties. 

With a pause on producing, R.I.S.A is close to returning releasing new material very soon. - "The most important thing is not who you are but what you pass on, my message is a love for vibes i love and I hope it continues to hit others after me".

Our next guest hails from the Russian city Samara from the banks of great river Volga.

I Gemin Aka 'Mikhail “Mike” Popov', musical taste was developed by listening to such musicians as: Queen / Pink Floyd / T-Rex / The Beatles / Boney M / Paul Mauriat / Barry White / Michael Jackson / Quincy Jones.

In 90s Michael became interested in electronic music and soon became a DJ at the school and then city parties. In the mid-2000s he created the project Allovers with his brother Ilya. The project makes great soulful and deep house music.

In 2014 Mike added some elements of disco and sampling into his house tracks to make them sound more diverse and delightful. These musical experiments resulted in the new dance project – i Gemin.

Addi Thor Ingvasen, otherwise known as Intr0beatz, first came to our attention last year when we ran a couple of premieres for the talented Icelandic house head. Needless to say they were tasty.
