47 marks TEN YEARS with its 47th and final release, closing the catalogue at 47047.

Launched as an event series by Tommy Four Seven in Berlin’s intimate Arena Club in 2014, the 47 parties paved the way to the label we’ve come to know today, inspiring and encouraging a host of interdisciplinary artists along the way. The imprint opened in 2015 with a V/A, and now, ten years later, 47 comes full circle with the release of its last-ever record and compilation.

As always, the various artist collection reflects the imprint’s long-running ethos of championing underground and upcoming talent. Titled ‘Ten Years’, the record features label debuts from Jin Synth, Casual Treatment, SAMA, Yrsen, and contributions from familiar faces like Pause, Rommek and AgainstMe, to name a few.

Across the 20-track V/A, each artist delivers precise and sonically rich productions, spanning several palettes. You’ll find a dreamy soundscape punctuated by blips and bleeps from Amotik. Claustrophobic atmospheres and winding rhythms by Innersha. Liquid melodies and maximalist basslines from Ana Rs. Moonlit synths and icy motifs by VSK. Club-driven 4/4 techno with a metallic sheen from ASEC. An emotive take on ambient and techno from Linn Elisabet. A spiralling trip with IDM touches from Nørbak, and more.

‘Ten Years’ mirrors the adventurous attitude of 47, celebrating the artists and sounds who’ve helped to build the label’s solid reputation, leaving an indelible signature on electronic music for years to come.

The record will be available as a 5 x 12" release, limited to 200 copies. Orders can be made on October 10th via Bandcamp at 10:00 CET.

From humble beginnings as a part-time assistant in a record store in Antwerp to rocking global techno stages on a weekly basis, Ramon’s rise to the top has been a steady and meteoric one. Frequently appearing on heavyweight labels like 100% Pure, Area Remote and his own Say What imprint, Toolroom are massively proud to present ‘Yellow Submarine’.</p>

<p>The track itself is potentially Ramon’s finest hour and is already poised to be one of the anthems of the BPM Festival in Mexico that kicks off the day of release. The darkness of that rumbling tech house groove accompanied by the light of that uplifting synth pattern, this is a simple yet hugely effective track that musically epitomizes Toolroom as a label and sits as a perfect release to start the year after an incredible 2015.</p>

Manchester-based duo, OC & Verde, were two of last year’s best upcoming British producers, generating genre-wide acclaim through notable releases like ‘Maasai’ – released on Knee Deep In Sound. Ben O’Connor and Jon Verde are back with this groovy 2-piece EP in Solstice/Horizon, released on VIVa MUSiC.

Manchester had quite the year in 2016, as the likes of Solardo, Kaluki Music and The Warehouse Project stimulated it’s raving scene, like three decades previous. OC & Verde are one of many rising artists deriving from the city, and the pair regularly played at the infamous soap factory, Sankeys, prior to its unforeseen closure.

‘Maasai’ catapulted the pair to unforeseen sights following the endorsement of Pete Tong who named the track his Essential New Tune. However, other notable productions can be found on Suara’s Kitties Wanna Dance (Volume 7) in ‘Vertigo’ plus remixes released on Bedrock Records, Selador and Glasgow Underground.

The future is bright for these two talented producers having gained support from Hot Since 82, Coyu, Richy Ahmed, Denney and Solstice/Horizon is the perfect start to another promising year for OC & Verde.

With the third release of NECHTO Records things are starting to get really serious. Staying true to her desire to uncover and promote local artists Nastia is proud to present this raw techno EP from one of Ukraine’s hidden gems. Tymur Samarskyi a.k.a. Splinter (UA) has a tender personal relationship with techno which started over a decade ago. He describes his sound as modular techno with ambient elements, but this definition only scratches the surface of a rich, energetic and powerful artistic output, that is based on his love for hardware and notable instrument design skills. This EP is a perfect example of his philosophy, aimed at rocking every dancefloor down to its core.
