This week on the Ismcast we have Mayeul.

The Frenchman with a love for acid has finally contributed to the Ismcast and what a set. Mayeul has been an artist that Ismus has kept a close eye on since the very beginning, having made his Berlin debut with us back in 2018. Since then he has grown at a fantastic rate becoming one of the main names coming out of France for harder electronic music. He is also one half of the Jawbreakers project alongside his main man JKS.

This set takes us back to the sounds of 90s techno and really displays a vast music knowledge for such a young artist.

„Quelza (real name Léo NaïtAïssa) , born in the late nineties, in the suburb of Paris. Cradled in arts since his childhood, his connection with music was made at an early age. But it’s in 2013 that he made his first encounter with the Parisian electronic scene which made him decide to start producing his own tracks. He only released a few tracks between 2013 and 2016 and preferred to perfect his musical style before publicly releasing his first tracks. The first appearance between 2017 and 2019 on the French label RND or the Berlin label Voxnox. He quickly got noticed with his singles EP from 2020 until now, with appearances on labels such as Mord Records, New Rhythmic, KSR, and Hayes Collective and made him earn the respect of the most respected artists of the scene. Leo moved to Berlin at the end of 2018 and performed in some of the most prestigious clubs in the city such as Tresor , Griessmuhleuh , About Blank, or Anomalie. The period of closure of the clubs did not prevent him to make his name in the scene with several appearances on live streams such as Hör or Room Trax. The career of the young artist is only at the beginning and announces a brilliant, passionate and creative future.“

HKKPTR – six letters which mark the alias of an artist whose musical abilities are only matched by the typographic horror his name triggers in most copywriters. HKKPTR  is one of the rather fresh flowers blooming on the fields of electronic music these days.

Hailing from Leipzig, one of the epicenters of modern club culture in East Germany, HKKPTR  stands in a line with a new generation of DJs and producers, serving their audiences Techno in its rawest, most unrelenting form. With his musical roots in Black Metal and Hardcore, HKKPTR  found his early access to electronic music through Gabber and Schranz before his first visit at Leipzig’s infamous Institut für Zukunft opened his eyes and ears for the vast world of Techno. Ever since, be it through his tough performances in the DJ booth or his intriguing works in the studio, HKKPTR  has constantly been showing his undeniable predilection and talent for the darker and more energetic sides of electronic club music.

He might not let himself be put in a certain stylistic box, be it Techno, EBM or Industrial, but rest assured – you’ll get your fair share of all of them.
