Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Entering a new decade, we are unveiling a contribution that holds very dear to us. Recently colaborating with our previous guest Viels, on an immersive four tracker EP out of the End of Perception label, Michal Wolski is the other half of Funfte Strasse project alongside Blazej Malinowski. 

Currently one of the most recognizable and experienced figures on the Polish scene, a musician, composer, journalist, publisher and producer, focused on deep, detailed techno, ambient and experimental music. Released with many internationally recognized record labels such as Nonplus Records, Eerie Records, Semantica, Technosoul, Recognition Records, Blank Slate Records, International Day Off, Lost In Ether, Silent Season and others. Founder of the Minicromusic Records, a label dedicated to techno music with an emphasis on its atmospheric variations. Founder and curator of a series of cultural events dedicated to experimental music known as "Laboratorium”.

Wolski creates solo as well as in collaborative projects such as Half of the Mech duo with Fischerle, which is focused on dub techno transformations. In his artistic work he uses various experimental techniques, including modular synthesizers.

Needless to say that he presented his music not only on the main stages of Polish clubs and festivals, but also abroad. He also took part of countless cultural events in music clubs and cultural institutions.

New Year kicks off for MindTrip with the 4th edition of our Mutable Minds series. This time label boss Pfirter selected 4 different yet unique and powerful tracks from new comers as well as already established artists on the label.

The VA starts with SRIE's label heads, Translate & Pulso, from Buenos Aires who worked together on dissecting compositions down to sparse rhythmic explorations, disruptive power shifts and nebulous bass bliss embodied in one track called Moriarty. Next comes Kike Pravda, the well-known Spanish DJ, producer and Senoid Recordings' owner, with his signature modular and bass heavy sound on Heat.

Nørbak introduced himself to the MindTrip world with his exclusive mix on MindTrip Podcast episode 38 and now he returns on this VA with his tune Avadhuta. Melbourne-based Vohkinne is on closing duties for this VA with his track Active Radio, a pure straighter dancefloor fare.

This mixture of great musicians from all over the world, combining the sound of electronic music, is making Mutable Minds IV so unique. Take a close listen.
