Moments In Time is a new Manchester based label run by Mark Bradbury aka Rudosa who kicked off the labels first release ‘Obsolescence’ in 2019. This March the label releases their second VA, consisting of 8 original tracks.

Fellow Manchester industrial producer ANALECT calls upon the spirit of second-wave Detroit Techno releases with his track ‘What You Do To Me’. Relentless rhythmic elements and a twisting menagerie of bells circle ceaselessly through the mix, slowly progressing into a rave-ready anthem fit to shake any worthy sound system.

Moments in Time is gearing up for an exciting and busy schedule of releases in 2021, featuring some of the world’s greatest up and coming Techno artists, this hand-picked compilation by the label’s founder Rudosa stands as a reminder of those rave-inspired memories we all long for. To be transported back to a particular feeling or ‘Moment in Time’.

Premiere: Analect - What You Do To Me [MIT005]

Fast rising UK producer, Balrog, debuts on Soma with the Run For Cover EP. Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog has supplanted himself in the darker and grittier side of industrial techno with a focus on heavy groove-ridden drums, driving bass and obscure distorted vocals. His tracks look back to the classic hard and grooving techno of the early 2000's, but with a fresh injection of modern industrial power.
Developing the EP during the UK’s lockdown, Balrog takes aim at mainstream media and makes a direct hit with title track Run For Cover hitting hard from the opening with its rampant and overdriven percussive workout. Talk That Shit ramps up the tempo even more as shearing drums pummel relentlessly throughout. Closing out with Embracing Change, Balrog takes no prisoners once again as he
leans on his more industrial roots, delivering on his uncompromising sound.

This is the very first project of the label CONTREPOINT, that was created by the “breton” collective of the same name, to highlight emerging talents from the local scene.
It’s also the first LP for Klud, the young french artist comes up with a 6 track plus 2 remix. Techno, trance, rave and acid influences converge in this LP, and shows all the styles that pushed him into electronic music. He really wanted to work with the talented Umbraid, who bring a more trancy vibe, the whole embellished by a remix from MZA.
Inspired by the 90’s techno scene and the new mental one he built his universe around tech- no & trancy vibes and gilded with time to more fast techno. This LP is like an experimentation of a different sort of style and bpm to bring his audience in a groovy melancholic dance.

@Gracedahl is a Techno DJ/Producer based in Amsterdam, making a name for herself with her stellar DJ performances and her flourishing skill for production.

Momentarily she finds her inspiration within a lot of old-school UK influences while mainly focussing on the more powerful, straightforward spectrum of Techno. She builds tension by adding current industrial touches, leading acid lines and sinister vocals to her otherwise dominating old-school sound.

She has notably destroyed the Unpolished and Vault Session Warehouse Elementenstraat on several occasions and you will understand why once you'll have listen to this track.
