Kallista Kult’s self-titled release was a wonderful blend of dub, pop and more abstracted elements and their song, “The Earth Did A Line”, was in my head for months. I loved the anonymity and identity of it all – it carried a subtle but perverse sense of humour that was complimented by their fantastic track titles. They self-released another album, Kypress Hill, which will see release as a new edition on A Colourful Storm next year.

But what if consent was only the beginning, not the final answer, to the question of desire? What would it mean to face the intractability and difficulty of sexual politics without seeking easy solutions? What might the search for a 'female Viagra' tell us about just how ingrained our assumptions about pleasure are? If bad sex is political, what are we going to do about it? 

James Butler is joined by Katherine Angel, author of Tomorrow Sex Will Be Good Again, to explore why bad sex is political - and how we might think better about the difficulty of sex and power.
