Rhythm Roulette 01

The Dr Decay got inspired by watching some artists doing "Rhythm Roulette". So he went away to his record collection, which there are some in there borrowed from his parents, hence why you might see some disco or some random record amongst a variation of industrial, Goth and EBM records. The track accompanying the video is the track made from the snippets from the randomly selected records then in a Doctor Frankenstein manner, cut up, manipulated and curated. The track made was only about 4:30 mins long, and the video was 5 mins, so some cut n paste was required. Also the camera used din't quite pick up any sound a part from the annoying switching on and off muffle. Possibly next time it'll be better thought out and recorded, but this is the first.

Bash crash

Started with 2 samples recorded from vinyl, John Carpenter's Lost Themes and Disco compilation Don't Walk Boogie. The rest just came into play as and when it felt justified

Facing The Void

The Second rhythm roulette track made from the laboratory.
All samples are recorded from vinyl then manipulated, cut and stitched up.

This re-mix was carried out by Now Nothing in the laboratory adding a bit of glitch and industrial sprinkles to some serious thrashy riffage...

This is our first track made using a digital 4 track recorder. Now DAW used in any of the mixing process.

A little experimenting with Electribe ER-1, AKAI MPX-16 and Meris Ottobit Jr. This was a freestyle jam with no direction.

Serial Experiment001

Now nothing was formed when the faerie Sylph met a crazy Doctor known as Dr. Decay in a labatory of clones...

The duo went off on an adventure of sound and broken home casio keyboards. but one day, Sylph visited Dr.Decay in his labaoritory with some bad news...with all the frankenstein tracks the Dr.Decay had created, Sylph was too busy getting ready to go to never neverland to put her whispery voice to the tracks. So with a wave of faerie dust, Sylph vanished to the ether...

The Dr went off to try find the meaning of life...on his studies he noted different external effects which alter our thourghts and feelings. He went to his lab and disected, spliced, manipulted, cloned and stiched his
findings...to create the sounds which Now Nothing are now known as.

Now Nothing try to blend many influences to create an infusion of sound...not sticking to the general rock "4 to the floor Baby!" but experimenting with different time signatures and playing around with breakbeat drum patterns. Trying hard not to sound like an EBM band, but using Synths alone also avoiding the typical Darkwave sound. Drawing influences from Synth punk, Industrial, old school Goth/Deathrock and even a shimmer of Urban music.
