Given you’re in a relatively safe environment and not like the middle of the road or something, keep staring at the inside of your head for a little longer. Some might call it meditation, some taking a break. The name doesn’t matter though. It really doesn’t. What matters is embracing the space you occupy at this very moment until it begins to embrace you.

You don’t need this new suit, or the latest yPhone, or those weirdly cheap chimes from that online shore. All you need is yourself and the knowledge that what happens happens. 
Oh, and maybe Lemonella to create the retreat you need, with the flick of a switch and the turn of the delay knob. 

Then – and only then – you can begin to bring color to the world around you.

Many times people have told me how much they just can't stand reggaeton. That omnipresent style build on the golden dem-bow rhythm that has gone on to conquer the world, Bad Bunny and beyond. 

But, beyond the mainstream (which goes for any music) there is something incredible about that simple rhythm. Following on from my last EP Tón Tón I thought I would see what happened if I tried to make a mixtape of "dem-bow" music which has absolutely nothing to do with dem-bow music. 

This mix is a juxtaposition of styles and sounds m(think Aphex Twin meets Ayra Starr meets Baiuca meets Âme...some dub techno, some Moroccan gnawa, some Ana Tijoux...)but all tied together by the thread of a dem-bow rhythm.

I was so excited to play at this luxury French-Fusion restaurant in Koh PhaNgan, at one of their last nights of the season.

I felt that French Chansons, Jazz and light Latin-Electronic music would work very well with the ambiance in the restaurant.

Some of the french people said that they were missing this music after so many months of traveling, and at the end of the evening, a group of frenchies was singing along with 'La Boheme'.

Some of the French songs i played are songs i've heard at home from age zero  - I clearly remember seeing the vinyl cover of Charles Aznavour's album as a child.

As an Ecstatic Dance Activist and Mentor, my mission is to Deepen the dance experience, Grow and diversify the community, and support the organizers and teams.

I'm inspired by growing up in a multi-cultural family, playing classical piano for 7 years, life-long dancing and music-collecting, 20 years of traveling, and an extensive study, practice, and teaching of tantric yoga, personal development and conscious business.

I weave traditional, popular, organic and electronic music from cultures and ethnic groups around the world into dance journeys that invoke the mystic, the lover and the animal within us.
