Butch: Essential Mix August 2023

Born at the Sunrise HUB, baptised at Caleidoscop Festival, still growing. Meet Capra Vecinului: an experimental live analogue free flowing project started and built beat by beat by Paul Agripa, Emi and Kozo. 

Paul Agripa is a vinyl distributor, DJ and  live performer, most often associated with the band Sahau. His favourite instrument is the keyboard. 
Respected label owner Emi is in charge of Contur record label and he’s one of those DJs with an unique underground sound besides being a super versatile producer.
Serban Goanță aka Kozo is a Bucharest DJ and producer, owner of the Zimbru label. He co-runs https://Intuit.fm with Paul Agripa and Dan Andrei, while also being a member of Sahau.

The three are curious producers who explore the thin boundaries between jazz, electronic music and technology. The group uses an ever-changing setup of synths, drum machines and modular synthesisers, while also adding in a surprise guest or two whenever needed. 

We seized the opportunity of publishing a cut from their live performance at Caleidoscop, an obscure music festival that takes places somewhere hidden behind the hills of Vâlcea County, Romania.

I've played some of my favorite shows to date this year, made you guys dance with B2Bs with some good friends, and endured the stages of some of the craziest festivals and clubs to the most loving and welcoming crowds around the world.

Sebastian Borca aka Verzila is a local electronic Romanian dj, music producer and promoter, the one behind the well-known eponymous YouTube channel with the same name.

He developed a passion for modern electronic dance beats from the age of 14, exploring numerous genres and sub-genres. Over time, he finds the various flavors of house and techno to be the ones he resonates with the most and begins to devote more and more attention to music.

A new chapter was written in May 2017 when he founded Welter Records, an independent label that aims to give more exposure to international and Romanian artists who are at the beginning of their careers. The second chapter was born in 2021 with the project label Inunct Music, which is a free download house with the aim of spreading music for free and helping artists express their vision through music.

“Nowhere” is a new concept launched by a young, enthusiastic team during the summer of 2014. We intend to bring a significant contribution to the electronic and techno music scene in Romania, focusing on supporting new local, national and international talents. The community took shape in Ramnicu Valcea where we aim to bring innovation within the ‘party realm’ involving the relevant music genres and, thus, converting into a collective starting from Nowhere moving Everywhere.
As a result, Nowhere Everywhere represents just the beginning of a project which promises to create the most intriguing electronic & techno music community.

Noul concept Nowhere a fost lansat in vara lui 2014 de o echipa de tineri entuziasti care doresc sa aduc un aport scenei muzicii electronice si techno din Romania, concentrandu-se pe promovarea noilor talente locale, nationale si internationale. Comunitatea a luat nastere in Ramnicu Valcea, unde dorim sa incepem prin a aduce inovatie in domeniul petrecerilor care implica genurile de muzica mai sus mentionate, fiind astfel un colectiv care incepe Nowhere ajungand Everywhere.
