Exile has been creating live keyboard and guitar-based minimalist phrase layering compositions, via looped tape machines, since the early '90s - a system now augmented and largely replaced with delay and loop pedals. A two track analogue ethos, however, remains key. He's worked with Sal Paradise, providing sounds, music, art, and the occasional backing vocal - most notably on his SalPal albums.
