Your matchbox was a carpet flying you right through the ceiling?
A trail of fire behind you as you wish the world goodbye?

 And every word was false
A blanket made of fiction

The shadows of leaves
rustling in the breeze
make me wanna leave you forever.
I'm done with my pleads,

Well, most of the time
I've walked the line

I give in to thoughts that misgive.

is no such desire

I sit and I stare,
mostly without care 
from an uncomfortable chair almost daily
at words on a screen
on a type of machine
I manipulate so they can pay me.
Although I am there
I'm not in my chair
I'm floating in orbit around me
exploring my dreams
and anxieties
that are coaxing me once they have found me.
I need a break.
This shit, I can't take.
Give in 'cause I've no more to give.
I'm finally awake
and from this I take,
livin's work, why're we workin' to live? 

I wake around noon
in a stifling room,
four walls and a ceiling around me.
I wait for the moon,
otherwise it's too soon
to emerge and come swoon your ass, baby.
But I'm happy alone
in this world of unknowns
that has shown it can change any moment.
In which I'm a drone
'til it's all overthrown
and my mind is blown knowing I know it.
So I'll carry on
in a world of all wrongs
that has left me no rights, still I give
all that I can
when I feel like that man,
'cause shit, it's sure hard work to live.
