סגנון הדיקסילנד נוסד בניו אורלינס שבלואיזיאנה, ארצות הברית עוד בתקופת מלחמת האזרחים כתוצאה של מפגש התרבויות האירופאיות והאפריקאיות. 
הסגנון התפתח בתחילת המאה ה20 ותפס תאוצה בשנת 1917 כאשר נקרא גם "הג'אז של ניו אורלינס".
הדיקסילנד נחשב לאחד מהסגנונות הראשונים בג'אז.

סול משלבת בהופעותיה שירים מקוריים לצד שירים של אגדות בלוז ונשמה מהן הושפעה בשנים האחרונות, 
אגדות כדוגמת בסי סמית', מא רייני, רוזטה ט'ארפ, לי מורס, קלרה סמית'. 
במופע החדש, Dixieland Dancing, מחזירה את תרבות הדיקסילנד והרגטיים של שנות ה-20 וה-30 וחושפת אותו אל הדור החדש שלנו בדרכה הייחודית.

בעברה השתתפה סול בתחרות IBC בממפיס, טנסי שבארצות הברית. 
בין השאר השתתפה גם בפסטיבל הבלוז והג'אז בתל אביב, בה בפסטיבל רקדני הבלוז הבינלאומי - Black coffee festiva ובפסטיבל הג'אז בים האדום באילת.
בשנת 2018 שחררה סול את אלבומה "הבלוז של בנות חורין" איתו גם הופיעה ברחבי הארץ וזכה לשבחים רבים.

Dixieland Dancing 

The Israeli Blues and Soul singer, Noya Sol is back with a new and nostalgic Dixieland show!
The Dixieland style was created in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, during the citizens war as a result of the European and the African cultures. This style was developed at the beginning of the 20th century and became popular in 1917 when it’s second name is “The Jazz of New Orleans”. The Dixieland is considered as one of the first styles in Jazz.


At her concerts, Sol combines original songs alongside with songs of the legends of the Blues and the Soul such as Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Rosetta Tharpe, Lee Morse and Clara Smith. In her new show, Dixieland Dancing, sol brings back the Dixieland and the Ragtime culture of the 1920’s and the 1930’s and expose it to the new generation with her unique way.


In the past, Noya Sol was attending at the IBC competition in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Also attended at the Blues and Jazz festival in Tel Aviv, at the international Black Coffee Festival and at the Jazz in the Red Sea festival in Eilat.
In 2018 released the album “The Blues of Freeborn Women” which she toured with and got a lot of good responses.

Israeli blues and soul singer Noya Sol and Israeli blues musician Moti Dror presenting a new album and a show called :"A Different Prayer"

Noya Sol previously participated in the IBC competition in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States. She also participated in the Blues and Jazz Festival and New Orleans in Tel Aviv, the International Blues Dancers "Black Coffee Festival" ,The Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat. In 2018, Sol released the album "The Blues of Free Girls" with which she toured all around Israel and got a lot of good feedbacks.

Moti Dror is a blues singer and guitarist living in Netanya who has just released his first blues mini-album whith which he toured with as well and got good feedbacks. In addition , he is the lead singer and guitarist in the Israeli indie-rock band "The Plague Vaccine"

In the new show, "A Different Prayer, the two worlds of Sol and Dror are combining together and they bring along with them Bluesy and rhythmic arrangements of prayer songs both from the Jewish culture and the gospel culture.
