Here is a composition of world music with the talented Gergana Kusheva on vocals. Gergana is an experienced Bulgarian singer and a classical double bassist. 
This piece is dedicated to my mother Geneviève who was born today may 10th. Hello to you mom at Paradise ! 
In this song I used electric guitar, Armenian duduk, cello, accordion, electric bass, backing vocals, drums and percussion.

Voici une composition de musique du monde avec la talentueuse Gergana Kusheva au chant. Gergana est une chanteuse bulgare expérimentée et une contrebassiste classique.
Ce morceau est dédicacé à ma mère Geneviève qui était née aujourd'hui le 10 mai. Bonjour à toi maman au Paradis !
Dans cette chanson j'ai utilisé la guitare électrique, le doudouk arménien, le violoncelle, l'accordéon, la basse électrique, les chœurs, la batterie et les percussions.

Song from Balkans - featuring Gergana Kusheva

Soundings from the Heart’s Chambers is intended to be a hopeful and uplifting listening experience. The impact of the pandemic of the past two-plus years in combination with heightened political unrest and other simultaneous crises across the globe has challenged our expectations and worn down our spirits. With this in mind, I chose to respond to the Lowell Chamber Orchestra’s 2022 call for scores with a work intended to inspire hope and lift our spirits.  

Within its compact 9.5-minute time frame, this suite progresses through four brief movements: Hope, Waves of Doubt, Garnering Trust, and A Leap of Faith. To musically signal renewed hope, the opening measures of the first movement return in the final movement after this work’s climactic musical depiction of a leap of faith forward. The middle two movements of the work aim to convey progress back to a renewed state of hope and trust. 

The second movement’s lumbering two-layered bass line is anchored around E. The upper instrumental voices ebb and flow in a repeating musical gesture tethered to the bass and never escape the harmonic pull of E (as if immobilized in doubt). This movement ends with a rhythmically tenuous cadence on E minor further signifying the experience of doubt. The third movement gradually unfolds into a brighter mood and arrives at a strong confident final cadence on C major which sets up the final movement’s expressive sonic gesture of a leap of faith.

Mimicking the style of JS Bach, upon whose broad shoulders we all stand. Hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun writing it. I wrote it to avoid getting relentlessly flattened by another composition, in which I am fully and completely out of my depth.

This composition is dedicated to a lovely friend Dominique Briand here on Soundcloud, Dominique has been fighting off cancer over the last year, and is now on the long road of recovery......I wish her well....

I have again the immense pleasure of presenting you a piece by Jean-Pierre Dubois (JiPé) which was composed by him back in 1985 when he was 38 years old....he had the kindness of sharing this composition with me which is more in a style of the Romantic era....
I hope you will enjoy listening to my performance of it.....
