The Art Assignment

The first nine stanzas of Timothy Donnelly's poem Hymn to Life, set to music for a cappella chorus by David Skeist. 

Singers: Raife Baker, Christopher Cancel-Pomales, Liz Eckert, Courtney Ellis, Jon Froehlich, Anne Gridley,  Natalie Hegg, Chris Henry, Susan Hyon, Lizzie King-Hall, Rachel Kodweis, Tania Molina, Devin Powell, Casey Robinson, Sarah Skeist

The poem will eventually be composed in its entirety, and performed as a staged theatrical event with direction by James Rutherford and choreography by Laura Butler Rivera. A staged workshop performance of these stanzas was presented at the Baryshnikov Arts Center with this above personnel on August 1, 2015.
