I wrote this track in numerous locations in and around the Joshua Tree National part in California, USA, as part of a feature with Magnetic Magazine where I went 'Off The Grid'. The magazine sent me to a series of super-remote locations without mobile phone service or internet with nothing other than my laptop and music making software to see how it inspired the creative process.

The track that keeps on giving, there seems to be no limit to the destruction ‘Don’t Hold Us’ can deliver. With the original storming the charts and gracing the radio worldwide, it was time for a few equally impressive remixes. Taking things in polar opposite directions, we have the Bixel Boys and the Blinders remixes. Bixel Boys created a version that is jazzy and deep, but with plenty of big-room bite. Blinders did what he does so well, masterminding a sublime club version. Paul Mayson also lends a hand, offering up an energetic, percussion-heavy tune. The pivotal point of it all remains Angelika Vee’s divine vocal performance.

The majestic classical section puts our hair on end, bringing us pure ecstasy… And then, the portal takes you to the future, powerful synths take over, everything starts shaking and building up to one powerful dropdown that explodes like a furious volcano. Aeterna Historia comes in not one but four versions. The above described is the original mix, but in this rich package you will also find the uplifting mix, its radio edit and the encore mix of them all, the extended cut. It runs over 12 minutes, offering the full journey through space and time which has those furious synths in the intro and prolonged uplifting parts that are combined with the plucked instruments from the breakdown. Uplifting mix features different leads for the main dropdown and it serves as a great alternative to this already outstanding release that is bound to become a future classic.
