This is a demo of the Intellijel/Cylonix Shapeshifter digital oscillator. Here, I am using it alone (no other modules!), patched into itself. I have oscillator 2 in LFO mode, modulating the Ratio, MOD B, and Shape 2 inputs. The Shapeshifter is set to "Perc Mode," and the Pulse output is plugged into the Sync input. I ended up recording about 40 minutes worth of sounds, so here are some of my favorite sections. I tried to make the crossfades obvious, so that you can hear the separate sections.

Sometimes in September 2014, Mathias Van Eecloo who runs Eilean Rec. asked me to make a track for the label’s end-of-the-year compilation. He wanted something quite different than the album I had just released on his label, something more “ethereal” and “softer” than the harsher textures that I had explored with this album. He sent me a few photos to help me finding the right tone for the track and i was so inspired by one of them that I made this music in nearly one sitting in October. The compilation was released in December 2014 and it’s called Eilean 53. It features the 12 artists who released an album on Eilean Rec. in 2014.

Four weeks ago I released a very limited run of tapes (20 copies). The album is also available digitally (flac, mp3, ...).
The album contains two live sets and one additional track. The original tapes also featured an individual recording on each tape. These recordings are not included in the digital version.
