People have been trying to figure out who is behind this mystery track for months and now Spinnin’ Records is happy to reveal that Martin Garrix, one of the biggest and youngest big-room, big-stage DJs, is stepping up for a new milestone in his fast-paced career.

For this remix I wanted to do kind of the opposite of what I normally do which is turn trance anthems into melodic dubstep tracks. I love that old school trance sound circa 2007 so that's really what this song is based off of. Anyways, I had a lot of fun making this track and I hope you enjoy listening to it!

I did this remix in 2003 and for whatever reason it never got released.  I have been a fan of Rufus ever since.  This song is incredible with some amazing lyrics, nobody writes quite like Rufus.  I was bummed when it did not come out because I had put so much into the remix.  I recorded live strings and bass guitar for the mix and felt that it really switched it up nicely.  Later on, on my album "the calm" I stripped off the vocal from this song and changed the arrangement and released it as an instrumental called "remembering rufus".  But it is way more powerful with the vocal and I am happy to share it with you today.
