福岡にて活動するバンドthe perfect meが驚愕のデビュー作『INTO THE HOUSE』をリリースすることが決定した。現21歳若きソングライターTakumi NishimuraとギタリストTakuhiro Yoshikawaを中心に結成された天才的異端児の1stアルバムが、2017年ついに解禁される。若くしてその才能を認められるも活動は福岡にとどまり、その才能が日の目を見ることはなかったが、Nishimuraが10代の頃から、その圧倒的なパフォーマンスは一部のオーディエンスから高い評価を受けていた。

バンドは、シンセ・サウンドによるダンス・ミュージック、ギターが絡み合うポスト・パンク、インディー・ロックと幅広くサウンドを展開している。しかしながら、そのルーツは常にジャズやR&Bといったブラック・ミュージックから構成されているという玄人ぶりには脱帽だ。タイトなリズムからメロウなグルーヴまで響かせる技術力と、バラエティに富んだ吸収力をもって、the perfect meという一つのサウンドを作り上げた。間違いなく、名実ともに2017年に輝くバンドの一つとして位置付けられるだろう。
