Surprise! Merry Christmas etc.
We've been planning a Christmas single for months now, but thought it would just be a single track. Inspired by a conversation we had with Thom from The Understudies about their Christmas Covers Party at the Waiting Room in London on December 17th (tickets here: ) in aid of Cancer Research UK, we decided that, as we were unable to play the show, we'd put together a brand new EP and sell it to benefit the same cause.
The EP was written and recorded quickly over the last four weeks, all the songs have snow in the title and they're all absolutely drenched in seasonal melancholia. Try slapping them on between 'Wonderful Christmas Time' and 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and see where the party goes...
The EP features our first ever live performance, a role-switching tune in which Jon covered lyrics and vocals and I was foolishly entrusted to take care of the music, and a fair number of sleigh bells.
