2022 rework of a early 2003 Monolake track. I just wanted to see if i can still open a Live set I made with Ableton Live 2 in Ableton Live 11. And then I spent the afternoon playing with it and decided to share the result. There you go! :-)

Martinou lands on Turbo for the very first time, as the Swedish producer connects with Tiga’s Montreal-based label following years of mutual admiration. The Sheltered Planet is a four-track record at the cross-section of Martinou’s bespoke sound & Turbo’s historic Techno influence. The aptly titled opener - Getting Into It - elevates senses through an exploitative and rising soundscape, flowing right into the beat-driven house cut - I Told You We’d Make It; crisp drum programming opens way to soaring melodics, with a deeply analog feel to the A2 groover.

On the flip, Martinou effortlessly glides through another movement-laden melody, as Exhilaration turns the dial ever-so-slightly towards the Swede’s take on a peak-time selection - The Offering. Rounded yet punchy synth lines ebb & flow from the distance, oozing into the groove by the time the break lifts us to the EP’s crescendo; a masterful dance track for the finest of dance parties.

Marco Shuttle is very much part of the Spazio Disponibile label family: he's put out his Systhema album and various EPs with Donato Dozzy and Neel in the last couple of years, and now the Eerie boss serves up more of his immersive techno excellence.

He starts off in slow motion, with the roomy ambiance and slightly spooky dub of 'Ritmo Elegante.' Of course it's a track carefully filled with little sonic details that make it a very real place to be. 'Arpex' then switches things up with a super urgent, super supple acidic techno rhythm thats overlaid with a widescreen arp that sapiens space and time, and 'Stairway To The Milky Way' is a half time stepper though some trippy sci-fi jungle before 'Qatarsi' rides on a floating groove as sound effects pan all around you and traps you in a state of trance. These are expressive, hard to define and excellent electronics once again from Marco Shuttle.
