Propulsive grooves and breezy house tunes by one of the absolute nuggets cruising our home circuit - Fafi Abdel Nour. With a residency at Groningen-based venue OOST, he has been transmitting good vibes and vibrant atmospheres by way of his quality house blends and progressive fusions for a number of years now. Operating with the kind of flair that we dig, we’re pumped to welcome the talented youngster on the platform. Busy at work on his masters thesis, we reached out to hear about his studies, the importance of family, navigating difficult times and things to come.

This Live set was recorded for SubRadio’s anniversary and prepared specifically for the occasion using as set up a Roland Tr-808, Eurorack modular system and various recordings from the Plants Army Revolver.
What a strong experience we experienced, we couldn't have asked for a better streaming to celebrate our two years. Setting of the flight we have enjoyed an out of this world Live set by the hand of the Plants Army Revolver on board countless modular connections, drum machines (that beautiful 808) and their characteristic sound synthesis, always deep, always analog and accompanied in complete harmony by the visual constructions of the great Ruben Castillo. 
Broken and paused rhythms, deep atmospheres of an organic character without equal, enveloping textures in constant expansion and endless hypnotic constructions acting on various points of the body and mind. A true harmonic, mental and esoteric journey to float peacefully around the cosmos through a carefully crafted progression of beautiful soundscapes.

Plants Army Revolver Live @ SubRadio / 21.04.23

Whomp head-honcho ANNX joins us for the latest edition of the Fuaim series with a club-ready blend of psy-tinged rhythms and prog rollers. 

Anna has gone from strength to strength in recent years, appearing on lineups with the likes of Above Below festival, Gloria @ Macadam, and many many more. Her sound is refined beyond her years, showcasing sounds of stripped back progressive and psytrance proving her relentless skills as a digger.

Her talents as a promoter are no less. Co-running the Whomp party with Lora Mipsum, and more recently perspectives.ldn, she has become a staple for psychedelic music on London's club circuit.

End of the Republic uses the words of Abraham Lincoln to produce a dystopian view of the state of the republic.

The music was made using a Soma Enner, a granular synth and two tape decks running at different speeds. It was of course recorded live with the words dubbed afterwards.
