Thanks for 10k plays :) I wrote a little something to go along with this track:

I try to think of nothing, but you don’t let me. Spiraling in the back of my head, you punch the walls and scream. You’ll never actually break the walls, but I know you have cracked them here and there. I roll my eyes, feeling frustrated because I’ll have to repair these cracks someday.
I tried to make peace with you, I think. It wasn’t a particularly successful endeavour, was it? You bristled with anger as you threw thoughts at me. You didn’t hurt me, don’t worry. Not physically. At least, not directly. Or did you? I haven’t found the answer to that question yet, and I highly doubt that I ever will. 
There’s no way I could live without you. You define me, complete me, yet you antagonise and sever me. The noise you provide sounds like the embodiment of both bliss and misery—I don’t know how the fuck you manage that—and it keeps my heart from stopping. 
You have the profound ability to—pardon my choice of words here—awaken different versions of my darkened self that I never knew existed. I will admit that I admire the fact that you are always there when I do not ask for you, do not want you. 
I hate you. I know you won’t be hurt or surprised when I say that. Because my feelings toward you make no difference. Oh yes, tears fall from your eyes but you do not feel sorrow, your lips quirk into a smile but you do not feel happiness. All you are is an imposter of me, sleeping when I am awake, to maintain your facade of un-existence. Being asleep doesn’t make you cease to exist, and you know that, and you know I know that. 
You’re always a step ahead of me. I try to catch you and you slip through my fingers like smoke, and I sigh when you reshape yourself, unscathed. 
There is no end to you and I can live with that. Barely, sometimes. But I can, and I will. For my own sake and for yours. There’s no end to you and I don’t want there to be. I guess I’m trying to ask something of you. You know what it is, so I’m not going to put it into words. I also know it‘s something you can’t give me. 
Face it! I know everything about you and I wish you would acknowledge it, I wish you would help me to diminish yourself because you have become an entity I’m starting to have trouble dealing with. But it seems we are both part of the same vicious circle, which I’m not sure either of us can break. 
Recently I have felt manipulated by you; your form is becoming more malicious and sharp and it scares me at times. What if you do break the walls that I always thought were sturdy enough? Will that be my end? You’re so destructive and I wish I knew why. Maybe I do but I fail to realise it. You make me feel vulnerable, weak and even paranoid. And you don’t even fucking help me. 
Still, I’m hopeful. Hopeful that we will figure out how to best sustain this symbiosis. I have to change and that means you do too. Don’t deny it; you’re petty but you’re not stupid. 
Maybe I should be more welcoming. Follow me now, it’s almost time to go. The last light seeps away and I feel you nestling, trying to find a comfortable position. I almost chuckle and then I close my eyes. 

You don’t. Not for another long while.
