CPU is proud to release the new studio album from acclaimed artist Bochum Welt - ‘Seafire’.

For this new album, Gianluigi Di Costanzo, aka Bochum Welt, devoted himself to the pursuit of creating new sounds, using old monster synthesizers to produce original compositions.

This album is an evolution of the electronic style which characterized Bochum Welt’s releases on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label. ‘Seafire’ collects futuristic electro / ambient tracks, alternated with cinematic soundscapes.

Gianluigi Di Costanzo says of the release:
“Since ‘Seafire’ is an evolution of the electro sound I worked on in the past, it seemed natural to release it with Central Processing Unit, the very cool British record label which is continuing Sheffield's strong electronic music heritage.

"I've always been inspired by the Sheffield electro scene, many keyboard players I listened to in the past are from Sheffield: Martyn Ware & Ian Marsh (founding members of the Human League), Cabaret Voltaire and Mark White.”

It's been well over two years since the last chapter in the tome of Ntogn. 'Sathurnus' saw the destruction of his former world and time has since then laid the foundation for something new. 'Utopia' offers a challenge for new and old listeners alike as darker rhythmical expressions now morph into something more cinematic; introducing melodies, instruments, singing and elaborate arrangements to guide the listener through psychedelic terrain.

The EP is composed out of a new-found passion for modular synthesis which lies at the core of each track together with the usual experimental usage of field recordings and the artist's voice as source for a wide range of elements. It's a story as well as creative excursions where Michel shares intimate moments intertwined with wild sound sculpting ideas; all shaped into small stories of fiction and magic that hopefully takes the listener on a trip.

Ntogn [en'togg-n] is a conceptual electro-acoustic project developed by @Hypnus Records' founder and sound design graduate Michel (b. 1988, Sweden). It aims to breath life into a fascination for magic with the use of contemporary and classic sound design techniques. This has resulted in what Resident Advisor's William Lynch describes as 'fierce, artistic techno that sounds like little else out there' and a discography ranging from earth-shattering techno to dark, throbbing ambient excursions.

After spending nearly three years in isolation, deeply lost in literature on history, philosophy, occultism and epic fairy-tales; Michel developed an inner world which eventually found an outlet through the means of music in 2013. By the use of field recordings and various samplings of his voice and surroundings, something peculiar sprouted as his inner images started to manifest and mature into an organic sound inspired by the emerging hypnotic deep techno scene.

Today, all music is released on his own imprint Tome in order to preserve the projects' artistic freedom and originality. After two years of sound design studies at the university and a new-found passion for modular synthesis; there's plenty of music in store aimed to satiate and corrupt the curious minds with his coming EP scheduled to be released after the summer this year.

Until then, the uncompromising sound of Ntogn can be witnessed at clubs and festivals around the world with the debut of his first live set, including collaborative performances alongside close friend and fellow Hypnus adept Birds ov Paradise.
