No Brakes, born Tokelo Molefe, is a rising rapper from South Africa, known for his raw, unfiltered storytelling and powerful beats. His journey into music began in 2018, driven by a deep passion for hip-hop and a commitment to authenticity. No Brakes’ unique style blends personal struggles and triumphs, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into his world.

After completing high school in 2020, Tokelo pursued a career as a cabin crew member while also taking short courses in leadership and emergency procedures. Despite facing significant adversities in 2022, including battles with addiction and depression, he has emerged stronger, using his experiences to fuel his music. His time in recovery has deeply influenced his art, infusing it with themes of resilience, hope, and personal growth.

In 2023, No Brakes worked as a teacher assistant, a role that enriched his understanding of community and mentorship. This experience further fueled his desire to use his music as a platform for positive change and inspiration. Now, in 2024, he is determined to reignite his music career, bringing a renewed sense of purpose and dedication.
