Bit MU

World 1-2 is an album that features renowned game composers alongside the remixers that pay them tribute. It features original music by grammy-nominated Austin Wintory (Journey), Manami Matsumae (MegaMan), and celebrated remixers Stemage and Danimal Cannon (Metroid Metal), among many more. 

World 1-2 is a music project directed and produced by Mohammed Taher of Koopa Soundworks. It's a collaboration album that combines young independent musicians with superstar composers from the video game industry. World 1-2 features a unique blend of original creations and nostalgia-dipped remixes. All proceeds generated from this album will go toward funding new projects by Koopa Soundworks. If you thought the first battle theme wasn't enough of a bop, then you're in luck. This is the first game that's made me intentionally look for more enemies to kill just to hear the music...

This is my submission for the game's official weekly challenge, and I couldn't have had more fun arranging this. This is definitely one of my fav's from the soundtrack!

I really wanted to spend more time on the second loop to add some variations, but I have school starting for me right now and it ate up most of my time. Although it's always a good feeling to meet a deadline!

Yucca Desert - Earthbound Zero (Arrangement)

New cover! It's the boss theme from Donkey Kong Land, but you may also recognize it from Blast Corps, as DKL's composer Graeme Norgate used a modified arrangement of this song in that game.

I tried to do my own thing with the percussion, keeping it in the spirit of the original but adding more variety for different sections of the song.

Shoutout to the Project+ devs for putting this song in the 2.0 build, it's been stuck in my head ever since!
