“This is a very special track for me and it has a long journey to be with you now. I started writing ‘Strife’ in 2014 after watching and being deeply impacted by Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the main melody was born at this point but I soon lost interest and moved on to other projects. I played an early version of the track with a very different bassline and structure a few times and always felt that it was lacking drive, so it was once again put to the side and forgotten. Years later I was preparing my first Zenon release under the alias Lumen and remembered this track. I changed the bass and added guitar and some more driving elements but it didn’t really fit with the rest of the ‘Logically Positive’ EP so I held onto it and have played it in almost every set for the last 6 years. Now its finally time to let this one out into the world, enjoy” - Ambler

New years of 2022/2023 Doonz and I went on a roadtrip through the south island of Aotearoa (New Zealand) following Twisted Frequency Festival.
We stayed for 3 days in a cottage and we started a new tune. Working on headphones we kept hearing these psychedelic sounds, the strange thing was, they weren't coming from our computers. We went outside and saw these small little birds that sounded just like FM Synth sounds. It turned out to be a small bird called a dunnok. These birds were sitting on bunches of grass known as Tussock.
In the song you can hear samples of these birds along with many sounds inspired by them and their beautiful ecosystem.

Been a looooonnng time coming due to choosing to explore different avenues and places to take my sound but here it is, my debut ep 'Paradisal Inner Light'
My goal was to try go deep inside myself and my emotions and try to encapsulate all of it in to sound and frequency and also to try not worry too much about what genre the final product will be.
One year later and I am Super happy with the result!
I hope whoever listens to this can relate in some way or another and hopefully it can put a smile on your face, a spring in your step or maybe even move your heart <3
