TM8 Q: What is your fave gig of the year and why?
A: "We were lucky to get invited to play to a lot of cute parties last summer, but if we had to pick a favourite gig I think it would be Las Tettas, an event that we co-organised with friends, to raise funds for different queer organisations. So many cuties turned up - we played at peak time, the sun was shining and the energy on the dancefloor was caliente 🔥"

seren.a (Isabella Forster) (she/her) is an electronic sound engineer and artist from Düsseldorf.
As co-founder and DJ of the all-female collective Get Over It, she pioneers the representation of queer women on stage and behind the decks in NRW.
After playing (classical) guitar for 20 years she switched to hardware synths to orchestrate her own soundscapes. She is composing music for dance and theatre productions.
As a DJ she serves a juicy blend of 90s rave driven hardtechno and house beats sprinkled with hyperpop.

Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, our mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For the edition, we bring you a mix from Singapore DJ and artist, howrøng.

Bouncy beats, hard kicks and queer anthems - howrøng‘s sonic selections are influenced by the same intense energy that inspired him when he was living in Berlin’s underground electronic scene, hearing sets from the likes of Raven, Chlär and LSDXOXO. 

As a resident DJ for queer collective “Bussytemple”, howrøng aims to create safe rave spaces for queer folk in Singapore with his music. His distinct style can be described as a journey through groovy and hard techno, dipping into queer pop, ghetto tech, and tribal tunes - howrøng never fails to bring the energy wherever he performs.
