Hi, I'm Dj Kung FUNK Panda. I'm from Slovakia, where I played as DJ Jürgen Schmidt   https://soundcloud.com/dj-jurgen-schmidt  but  currently I live  in the beautiful Austrian Tirol Alps. I'm a old school  DJ from the time when party tracks weighed 10 kilos and the best Mitsubishi wasn't a car. I think there was a great atmosphere in the clubs back then and I want to bring exactly that atmosphere to today's dance floor. Every DJ likes to mix a different style, I like to mix Nu Jazz, FUNK, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, House, Electro, Techno and Drum & Bass.

i love to make psychedelic swirly, dreamy music, often with an electronic influence. Sometimes more vintage rock influenced, sometimes more pop influenced. I love analogue, distorted textures.

my main influences are Tame impala, Daft Punk, The Beatles, Mac Demarco, Steve Lacy. 

We're aiming for our website to be the place to come for information on artists and happenings in the nu funk scene or whatever you may call it - funky breaks, new funk, breakbeats, funk, acid jazz, j-funk, lounge hop, funky hip hop breaks, dancefloor jazz... we're going to cover the best bits!
